I look at the Norris as they had to have at least 3 people nominated so it looks like there is a decision between them.

It is Keith's.

Sidenote: I have been a HUGE fan of Bouwmeester since his Panther days. I thought that Pheunuf and Bouwmeester would have been the single best D tandem that hockey had seen in a LONG time. I am just stoked he is playing with a "real" team finally.

He def found his place in St Louis this season. Pretty damn good turn around for Bouwmeester for sure. Don't think any blueliner could flourish in Calgary the last few years. Those seasons almost put the nails in his career coffin. So happy he got out of that shit hole also. I have no issues with Bouwmeester and had none with him during the last series. He really did have a strong season in St Louis. Now he should get the **** out of that shit hole. He can drop that contract and come play in Chicago anytime.

Giordano. Makes his past few seasons that much more impressive. Would be awesome to have him in Chicago just for the name, but that will never happen. Either way, I'd like to see him on a real team and see how he does. Sometimes being on a bad team and playing well, doesn't translate to playing on a winner.

IMO Weber is the best defensemen in the league, just a shame he plays on a terrible team.

Yep. I lost all respect for the Norris after that. It really doesn't matter who the best defenseman was that year. It's all about the stats.

DO you not know what the criteria is to win the Norris trophy?

Come on coach.

Sounds like the right guys were nominated... offense counts.

Suter had 6 less points than Subban last year and is 3x the defenceman

Karlsson is a career -27...he's the Swedish Mike Green

Offense shouldn't count more than defense, for an award given to the best all around DEFENSEman.

I dont care if they wanted to recognize Subban and Karlsson those 2 years...that's fine to nominate them

But no way have they ever been the best all defenceman in the league

If they want to continue on this path, they should just have a Paul Coffey or Phil Housley award.

Might as well, what's one more award? Points leader in defensemen can get that, Norris goes to best overall. Would see much better/deserving finalists for it.
