Unfortunately for you guys, all of your arguments are moot because the only criteria for who should have their number in the rafters is how much publicity and fan fair it can create for McDick.... so expect by the end of his reight to only have a couple left to lift into the rafters and the Hawks to start using numbers in the 100s and half numbers.

If the PC whacks that have taken over this country have their way it won't matter what numbers are in the rafters.

There will be a new logo and a new name and the franchise can start all over again with every number available.

It's been discussed before, but "Blackhawks" is not a derogatory term, if anything it's honoring Chief Black Hawk and the military unit who used the name. The only people who are whining about it is Ryan Lambert of Puck Daddy, and his opinion is absolutely worthless as he's an idiot.

Anyway, the logo would be the issue, not the name.

I know zero first nations people who are offended by the Blackhawks logo and I know a lot of first nations. Not a single one has ever said they found the logo offensive or derogatory. Most, if not all, actually love it.

Hossa's an easy lock for the HHoF. Whether his number is retired for the 'hawks can go either way. The longer he plays as a 'hawk the better his chances.

Keith's likely for both # retirement and HHoF. Toews and Kane are damned close *Right Now* if their careers ended. Given how young they are if their projection remains true and they play until later 30's or early 40's I think it's a no brainer for both,

To say nobody hated it is completely false.

Hossa's number is pretty easy to retire, simply because 81 isn't a standard sweater number.

But now that the Hawks have a couple Cups under their belts, everyone who came before and didn't win a Cup can kiss seeing their sweater number in the rafters goodbye. Sorry Gramps & JR.
