The reason Josh McCown gets so much love in this league is because he works hard, knows the ins and outs of his offense and play book and does diligent work in the film room like a coach. McCown may not be the most talented QB in the NFL but people respect him for all the work he puts in. Work other QBs don't bother putting at all, aka Johnny Manziel and other super talented over hyped failures that fall flat on their face in this league.

Where was all this when he was in Arizona,Detroit and Oakland?

Now where would he ever get that idea?

Would you mind putting the teams defenses you faced during that stretch? Here is a fact for you only one team he faced had a respectable defense and he threw one td against them

Pretty sure Bowe said: "potential to be a..." not: "is".

How does him actually ranking in the top 5 not show "potential"?

How does a 2 year old 5 game sample show potential, especially after last year?

potential

[ pəˈtenCHəl ]

ADJECTIVE

having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future

That little sample may have been considered "potential" a year ago, but then last year happened.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
To Dwayne Bowe any QB that can throw at least one TD to a WR in a season is top five.

True of False the Tampa Bay Bucs had an offensive coordinator last year?

True or False, McCown has been terrible in all but 5 games he's played in throughout his entire career?

You mean he struggled to be successful within three of the worst organizations in football?

The QB's who came after him weren't nearly as terrible

True. Someone was calling the plays but McCown was still awful

Way to dodge the question, and after I mention that McCown's play was equal to Cutler's play in Arizona I'm sure you'll google and screen shot more box scores to support your argument that he wasn't; despite the fact that you didn't ever see McCown play a down for the Cardinals and it just so happens that I did see McCown play in Arizona a lot.

The thing is unlike Cutler, McCown has never had a supporting cast or even a strong organization or coaching staff around him.

Let me know when you want to talk about a player you've actually seen play because outside of his sample size in Chicago you've never watched a single snap Josh McCown has taken in the NFL.
