I wonder how Tucker would've done if he incorporated the sHITS

I don't think anyone expected the Bears to have only 3 wins and have a 5 game losing streak this point in the season, but I definitely wasn't expecting to hear reports that Flus is losing more than just games (lockerroom) and having the league's worst defense has brought about questions of the first year HC's mental competency.

This HITS stuff only went so far with ownership and Poles might be under pressure to get this thing corrected.

I hope they can keep Gesty, but will the next HC want to keep him around or be able to choose "his guys?"
You really don’t have to try to start a thread on every possible thought one could have. There’s no way on God’s green earth he’s on the hot seat or anyone blames him for this defense. On top of that nearly every pundit picked the Bears to win only three games this year so saying nobody expected them to have only three wins at this point is ridiculous.

We had a Walterfootball 1-16 projection thread at the start of the season.

Think a lot of people predicted a disaster of a season.

It's just hard to actually go through it.
Kinda like reading shit stains thoughts on Justin Fields

No need to shoot the messenger buddy. Also, last time I checked, ccs HoFers are allowed to start as many threads as they want.

I’m sure Poles was very clear on his vision for the direction of the Bears, during the hiring process. Hence, it’s doubtful he’s on the hot seat.

There is actually a lot to like about Eberflus such as his game management skills, his use of challenges, the hiring of Getsy, the structure of practices, and the culture he brings. People like to poke fun at the HITS principle, but it’s essentially what Lovie did and his players loved him. By all reports he’s a pleasant guy and well respected.

The only scenario where I could see him being fired is if Luke Getsy gets offered a HC job and Poles decides to fire Eberflus and promote Getsy. That’s sort of where I see things eventually heading, but I thought it would take a couple of years.

come on guys, its his first season and I wouldn't put everything on him. As others have obviously mentioned, Poles traded away Mack, Roquan and Quinn. I dont care who's running the team or let alone the defense, you take those guys out of the equation and its night and day production. Same thing would have happened if Desai was still here with Nagy.

There's always speculation of "losing the locker room", but things like that will come out in media because you know THEY HAVE TO WRITE ABOUT STUFF and its not always factual. The team is very young and just getting acquainted with each other and the system, so I dont understand the whole "losing the locker room" thing.

I said 5-12 to start the year. This team has pretty much no talent.

The thing is they've been competitive in pretty much every game until last week. Eberflus is not on the hot seat. They're clearly not trying to compete this season.

Where the hell have you been? All the so called experts were saying the bears whould win 3 or 4 games this year. This result is surprising to no one other than meatball bear fans. I thought we`d win at least 6 games if JF showed improvement and teh defense was solid. JF has balled but the defense has been atrocious so the results are not surprising.

Future Bears HC boyz . .. .

Listen to him talk offense. WOW! Meanwhile Matt Eberflus "blah blah blah"
Not gonna lie; I would have loved to have Sean Payton or Bill Cowher (in that order). But thems the breaks.

If the Bears want to pay Sean Payton 20 million and a blowjob on wednesdays, it’s not my business. I would take him as he is a damn good coach.

And don’t forget it will require coughing up draft picks to the Saints who still own his rights. Not sure that’s a good idea for team that needs to build the roster up.

Did Pace pick the wrong QB?
probably, its real simple Pace and the QB position has been a total disaster, he has made one bad choice after another with that position, So for me to think pace didnt **** up again then Fields is going to need to prove it.. and averaging 149 ypg does nothing for me to believe that Pace didnt **** it all up again.

Now Pace was pretty good at identifying RBs and that seems to be what Fields can really do well so it might still work out with having him do it all with his legs, That comes with problems with it being sustainable and the beating he will take, but if he cant develop into a true "passer" then at least he can still do it with his legs, although it will probably be a shorter career and more injuries.

Now with the Jones vs Fields thats a tough one, last year it was easy, but this year I know Jones took a step back and was injured. But I think Fields has a higher ceiling if he can ever develop into a passer. But my philosophy is try and mirror the best QB in the history of the NFL, Brady is about the most unathletic guy there is. But he is smart, can process quickly what the D is doing and pick them apart. I think those are more important qualities for the QB position, and thats NOT what Fields does well and Jones does that better. I said this before but will say it again here, if we had Jones I'm probably arguing with you on why Pace should of drafted Fields instead. I just have no faith in what Pace did, simple as that..
