I really don’t think Flus cares about losing a locker room in which 50%+ of the players won’t be there next year. And 80% won’t be there in 2024.

I don't think anyone expected the Bears to have only 3 wins and have a 5 game losing streak this point in the season, but I definitely wasn't expecting to hear reports that Flus is losing more than just games (lockerroom) and having the league's worst defense has brought about questions of the first year HC's mental competency.

This HITS stuff only went so far with ownership and Poles might be under pressure to get this thing corrected.

I hope they can keep Gesty, but will the next HC want to keep him around or be able to choose "his guys?"

Make Getsy the head coach.

We need a strong DC, i would even consider Ryan. Someone Getsy can just break off the defense and let it do it’s own thing while he maintains his focus on becoming a better OC.

I don’t get all this love for Getsy. His strategy is basically “Justin, just make something happen.” I still remember his awful playcalling in some of the games. Has he gotten better or is it just Fields making him look good?

ESPN just listed an article on coaches that are gone, coaches that will be gone and potential head coaches in waiting…. And not one of several columnists even mention him once.

A lot of sports journalists feel that way. It’s not a new point of view. I don’t really co-sign on it but to accuse remy of being the only one to believe that is comedic.

Did Pace draft the wrong QB?

The thing is I clearly said he is the GOAT. I said he is also overrated because some ignore that for all of those Super Bowls he had a top 10 D.

First Super Bowl - Same guys who bash Fields for throwing for under 200 yards will ignore that Brady got bailed out due to the tuck game and then threw for 115 yards in the AFC Championship and 145 yards in the Super Bowl. He had 1 TD and 1 int the entire post season. That was clearly a Super Bowl won on the back of the 6th ranked D. Brady did the bare minimum.

2nd Super Bowl - Pats had the No 1 Defense in 2003. That D allowed only 14 points to the Titans and Manning and the colts on. In those games Brady threw for 201 and 237 yards with just 2 TDs and 1 Int. So that D again carried him to the Super Bowl where he did have a standout game. This Super Bowl does not happen without a top 10 D as they probably lose before the SB without it but credit Brady for showing up in the Super Bowl.

3rd Super Bowl - Pats had 2nd ranked defense. That D shut down Manning allow only 3 points. This was a better overall post season for Brady as but still did not throw for more than 238 yards in any game. Having said that he put up points so will this one is well deserved.

4th Super Bowl - Pats had 4th ranked defense. Brady tried his best to lose the AFC Championship as he had 3 ints and 209 yards. The D bailed him out by giving up just 12 points. However, he did shit the bed in the Super Bowl as the Giants pass rush held him to just 14 points. This loss is on Brady.

5th Super Bowl - One of the few years Brady did not have a top 10 D and so needed to carry the team but in the end could only muster 17 points in the Super Bowl. This loss is on Brady.

6th Super Bowl - Pats 8th ranked D. Brady put up a lot of points this postseason so can't fault him here at all. It should still be noted that he loses this Super Bowl if not for the dumb decision of Carrol to throw the ball instead of run and as a result Malcom Butler wins the game for the Pats. This is really a shared win.

7th Super Bowl - Pats with No 1 D. Brady delivers this postseason including the epic comeback against the Falcons. Huge assist for the Falcons for blowing a huge lead and the D that shut the Falcons down late making the comeback possible. This win is on Brady.

8th Super Bowl - Pats with 5th ranked D. This is Brady's finest postseason but the top 5 D abandons him in the Super Bowl so he gets beat by an epic performance from Nick Foles. This loss is on the D

9th Super Bowl - Pats 7th ranked D. Brady starts off with 2 big games but is absolutely miserable in the Super Bowl scoring only 13 points. Lucky for him his top 10 D only gives up 3 points so he still wins. This win is on the D

10th Super Bowl - Bucs 8th ranked D. Brady with just 201 yards in SB but that Bucs D absolutely swarms Mahomes with 28 pressures which is most in Super Bowl history and thus Chiefs can only muster 9 points. This win is shared.

So again Brady is clearly the GOAT. But many of those Super Bowl wins would not have been possible if not for a top 10 D. In a few of them the D carried Brady to victory and in others Brady shit the bed despite a great defensive effort. And of course there are others where Brady carried the team to victory. But the reality is you give most HoF QBs a top 10 D and they would likely make a lot more Super Bowls and win a lot more than they did. Guys like Manning and Rodgers didn't usually have the luxury of being carried by a top 10 D. If they were not at the top of their game they usually lost in the postseason. The one time Manning had a top D, they basically dragged his ass to a Super Bowl victory against Cam.

The losing the locker room thing is entirely a media and fan creation because they are too stupid and impatient and live in a world of instant gratification.

He gets credit because they came out of a mini bye and emphasized plays that allowed Fields to succeed. Let's not pretend that the narrative coming into this season was Fields was not put in position to succeed because the talent was shit. So much so that some said it would be a lost year for his development and that they would ruin Fields, etc. Can't now pretend that all the success was Fields as if people thought this success was possible despite the shit talent they would not have been crying early in the season.

Well he needs to show something next year. Arrow needs to be pointing up by the end of the year. Not this (planned) shitshow

Yes "pointing up by the end of the year"
I can't understand the comfort level some ppl have with this "tankathon" mentality. I'm old school. Ya go out there
and focus on winning. Then let the draft chips fall were they may.

LOL.....great minds think a like........#80

I've said "Getsy has nothing to do with Fields' improvisational skills. ?So...the argument could be made that Fields is the one making everybody else look good. But the factual key is Fields' improvisational skills."

I think it's too early to give up on him yet. His GM has traded away or released several key contributors on defense; it should be no surprise that the defense sucks right now. Let's see how they do after the cupboard isn't so bare.
So he wasn’t brought in to win games?

Anytime a team is worst or close to worst in the NFL, should be on the hot seat.

This year the goal was to evaluate the young talent, specifically Fields, and to strip the roster down to its foundation.

@Anytime23 ‘s boy Pace really fucked up this roster.
