Big IPA fan. My favorites would be:

Lagunitas Sucks
Firestone Walker Union Jack
Three Floyds Zombie Dust
Ballast Point Sculpin IPA
Alesmith IPA
Schlafly Tasmanian IPA
Founders Double Trouble
Firestone Walket Wookey Jack
Stone Sublimely Self Righteous Ale
Ska Modus Hoperandi

Unfortunately since moving to South Texas I'm not able to get some of my favorites here. The selection kind of sucks compared to when I was in Illinois.

Oh man, I love Weihenstephaner. This bar I used to go to in Israel (I used to go there for business a lot) had it on tap. Fell in love with it there.

Holy shit, I can't even imagine how good weihenstephaner is on tap. A friend of mine worked part time in his dad's uber authentic German bar and they had it imported in bottles. I used to hang out there with a bunch of friends and he would just tell us to try random German beers all the time. They were all good but the unfiltered weihenstephaner heffe is the one that stuck with me

I love me some O'Dells Isolation ale. It is their winter seasonal, so I get very excited when it comes out. Is it my favorite, I have no idea. I like a lot of beers. I am going to bump the homebrewing thread now.

When the rare occasion arises when I would have a beer,Id take a Rolling Rock...But mostly Root Beer these days

You have some really nice breweries/ brew pubs out by you... In fact, right down town.

I've heard some really good things about Lagunitas Sucks, but haven't found it down here yet. I have found some of their other beer on tap so I hold out hope.

Its a seasonal that's out right now. Unfortunately the beer stores here have trouble getting much from their distributor and it sells out pretty much immediately.

If you like very fruity, hoppy IPAs you'll love it. Very tropical with not too much malt. It's probably my favorite beer ever which makes the fact that I can't get it pretty disappointing. When I lived in IL my beer store had it in stock pretty much all winter last year.

Cigar City Jai Alai is another good one for you IPA fans. Not sure how available Cigar is around the country though. They are semi local for me, so I can pick up their stuff practically everywhere.

Cigar City is just now working its way up to North Carolina, according to the rumors. I'm looking forward to it, if it is.

the last time I had crispin (which was like 3 years ago) it was way too sweet, but that may have just been the flavor the bar was doing a "special promotion" on at the time.

I've found Aspall Cider to be really good, and most of the Normandy Ciders (Etienne Dupont) they've started carrying around here.

Anyone have New Glarus beer? They only sell it in Wisconsin even though it is like 20 minutes from the border. The brewery is 30 minutes from my hometown and you have to drive to Wisconsin to get it. They are one of the most popular breweries at the Great American Beer Fest in Denver. The lines are ridiculous. I always have my dad and friends drive out several cases when they come. The Spotted cow, Black top, and Serendipity (happy accident fruit ale) are all fantastic. I like all of their beers; those just stand out.

I know you didnt say Strongbow here, but I am just continuing the cider theme. My wife and I like ciders now and then. We used to drink Strongbow, but then found Angry Orchard. I really like those. I will try more exotic ciders if I come across them at larger liquor stores. I had some AMAZING ciders in New Zealand. I cant remember the names now though...

I did say Strongbow earlier, ha. Haven't tried many flavors of Angry Orchard but I'm pretty much a Strongbow Savant. Also, if you ever see a Basque cider, give it a try.

I had New Glarus Spotted Cow up in Wisconsin after Christmas. Wasn't my cup of tea
