The #49ers put the low RFA tender ($2.025M) on RB Raheem Mostert, source said – which means a team wouldn’t have to give up compensation to sign him away. Averaged 7.7 yards on limited carries before breaking his arm last year. Healthy now. Core special teamer. Could get interest

I'm told #Jaguars DT Malik Jackson was been informed he will be released as early as today, per source.

Now it’s being reported that they are cutting Carlos Hyde too.

The #Jaguars are releasing DL Malik Jackson and RB Carlos Hyde today, source said. Cap-clearing begins in Jacksonville.

The #Lions have released veteran guard T.J. Lang. One of the good guys.

Tracking Adrian Peterson’s situation, if he doesn’t stay in Washington, I would mark the #Bears as a potential team to watch. Depending on what happens with Jordan Howard and the RB market, of course. Brad Childress is close with Matt Nagy. A thought for down the line, anyway...

If you did not want Hunt, I do not want to hear one word out of you about adding Peterson being a good idea or something the Bears should explore.

Peterson would be a horrible signing. One dimensional RB, makes zero sense.

Tashon Gipson released by the Jaguars.

The safety market is insanely deep. He would be a great add for the Bears.

If the Bears add Gipson to Jackson they would have insane range in the backend and would be able to have both safeties play single high interchangeably.

Seems to me that it means that Amos, who apparently got little buzz at the combine, is getting cheaper and cheaper to retain.

Even if his price does drop, if we can add a player that was cut at a lower cost of Amos that can play well with E.Jackson and we can get a comp pick out of it then i'd move on from Amos. I'm a Amos fan to but gotta root for what's better for the team in the now and the future. I would love to get T.Gipson.

He's not going to be that expensive.

They need a safety, a nickle CB, a third pass rusher and maybe a RB if they trade Howard. Plus Oline depth. They have 17-18 mil depending on who you look at. Unless he's signing for league minimum (he's not) the Bears probably don't have the money.
