Seems to me that it means that Amos, who apparently got little buzz at the combine, is getting cheaper and cheaper to retain.

Certainly seems more and more likely the Bears can retain him, IF they want to. Pagano is certainly going to have a say in that...

Even if his price does drop, if we can add a player that was cut at a lower cost of Amos that can play well with E.Jackson and we can get a comp pick out of it then i'd move on from Amos. I'm a Amos fan to but gotta root for what's better for the team in the now and the future. I would love to get T.Gipson.

Gipson ain't coming cheaper than Amos and easily cancels out any comp pick you would get for him. And avoiding signing your own player at a cheap price to maybe get a low comppick a year from now( also associated with the decreased salary) is batshit crazy. #Countingchickensbeforetheyarehatched

Gipson was released. Wouldn't cancel out any comp picks.

If they are cut ay any point it doesn't count toward comp picks. Comp pick formula only applies to guys who's contracts are expired as of start if the new league year next week.
