like windy mentioned he's had +4 sacks the past few seasons...i liked him coming out of clemson and thought he should be a 3-4 olb instead of a 4-3 DE...he's never been very good against the run but has good bend in rushing the passer...for the bears he'd fit in well as a pass rushing specialist as the 3rd OLB.

He's never had more than 6 sacks in one season And he avgs 3.65 sacks a season. he has declined every season since he had his 6 sack season. Only an idiot would look at branch and say its worth it.

What do you think the Bears are going to do at #3 OLB.

They are signing a rotational backup for little money.

Please lay out your ingenious plan for us? Sign Anthony Harris to play OLB.

Yes, we're light on draft picks, no 1st or 2nd; so only our 3rd Rounder may compete to start. So I'm not saying replace the lost FA starters with 2019 draft picks...

Rather the point I'm making is: if we lose out on Callahan and/or Amos, we use that money to get 2 impactful FAs (RB & OLB) missing from 2018 to help win the SB in 2019, RATHER than spreading out that money with 4-5 mediocre FAs who merely have a chance at beating out a current Bear.

As an example, if we lose Amos, we let Bush, DCH and a draft compete to start. And use that money on a blue chip RB and OLB. Don't waste that money on a FA Safety that will merely compete with the other 3 Safeties. Ultimately we want drafts to replace lost FAs. If spend on a FA, go blue chip impactful starter, and we don't need one at SS, compared to RB or OLB.

If we lose out on Amos and Callahan it is because we don’t have the money to sign impact free agents.

A blue chip OLB? Are we going to spent 40 million at OLB?

i'm more than to happy to see who your interested in that will be cheap and average more than 4+ sacks a season to come in as the 3rd OLB.

I mentioned Wake or Suggs by name; you quoted them in the $6mil range. I mean a "blue chip" 3rd OLB. I mean a Hunt-type RB. Rather than signing mediocre SS and NB, use that extra $ on an impactful OLB and Hunt-type RB.

Problem is, there is no hunt type back. He was an anomaly that was only available due to his off field issues. Better off drafting a mid rd running back then throwing money we don't have at the mediocre free agent runningback pool.

This team doesn't have a lot of holes which is fortunate because we do not have the resources to add several big name players like we have in the past. It's going to be a rough offseason for fans who are used to us making big splash moves early in free agency.

Maybe they can take some of their frustration and anger and apply it to learning how the salary cap works...

What impactful RB? Hunt was the serious RB talent available.

Wake and Suggs would be great. Both cost you a 3rd or 4th round pick as well, because that is what you would lose.

Bears are in win now. Terrell Suggs for a season or two is worth far more than a 2020 4th round pick.

How about we start with signing someone who didn't play 14 games and sacked the QB 1.5 times

how about you answer his question and lay out your ingenious plan instead? the point of getting branch was he'd be cheap and wouldnt affect the bears getting a comp pick assuming amos and or callahan go to another team. if he doesnt work out then cut him, with little to no cap hit.

You were asked to provide a plan, not to continues to talk about another suggestion.

It will be noted that you do not have a plan.

Eagles are not tagging QB Nick Foles; he will be allowed to become a free agent and leave Philadelphia.

This really hurts Foles' leverage.
