lol no. He’s not the same guy he once was.I would sign him on a cheap deal and rescind franchise tag on Johnson.

You are acting like Bates doesn’t have experience which he has plenty of therefore completely nullifying your reasoning.I'm actually okay with that. I just want the next QB to have a Vet with continuity at the position. I know it's just a center, but Bears line needs that more than any other spot on the line. Especially, for a rookie QB.
Just let them....How? He's older and more expensive
I wonder if mutual was improperly used there… was Jacobs agent really saying the Bears have reached out to him or somehow have shown interest? Or is he just saying that Jacobs would like Chicago?Bears and RB Josh Jacobs reportedly have 'mutual interest'

Exactly, Xavier McKinney would be a great compliment to Brisker, but might be expensiveDon’t see a soon to be 33 year old safety in the Bears future
I’m sure that’s gonna piss some people off.
hate Lafluer’s pencil mustache/goatee lol
A meeting of the Matts.
Yep. Don't get it.Jacobs is basically the same back they already have. Not a route runner (zero TD catches in 5 seasons), not a 3rd down guy, not a home run hitter.
Would be a weird signing.
Fields to the packers confirmed ?A meeting of the Matts.
I am not a fan of spending on second contracts for RB, but if they do it's gotta be someone who is a real dual threat, a guy who can motion out and and beat an LB on a real route. That puts pressure on a defense. limits what they can do. Jacobs can't do that. Very few RBs can.Yep. Don't get it.
Bring back Herbert & Johnson....pick up a 3 down/special teams back in 3rd waive of FA and draft another Johnson type in RD 4 or 5.
If Bears spend big at RB I'll start to question this regime a bit more.
WTF? This some AI shit?
Back to back off-seasons of splurging for a ILB and then a RB in FA....yeah...that would bother me.I am not a fan of spending on second contracts for RB, but if they do it's gotta be someone who is a real dual threat, a guy who can motion out and and beat an LB on a real route.
