you think hunter is going for over 25.5 million dollars?

edit - @Canth i couldnt put the proper signing bonus in for mooney, but he would be getting 6 million a year, just 2.5 mil upfront to cut the cap hit
I don't think so but should be close to that number.

Dat Florida weather after spending so much time in Buffalo.
and taxes. Poles may have avoided not getting a C in FA with the trade.

Ha.

Shame could only come if he drafted him. There wouldn't even be much shame to outright release him if no interest.

That sounds likely. I just saw someone's post that said he is "expected" to get a deal in the $10M range. Would you be on board if that's the cost? I'm not a huge fan of paying RBs, but it would be nice to have an all around back, especially with a rookie QB.
I wouldn’t love it, but CHI has The cap space to do it.

I think the Bates trade signals one of two things:

1) Poles has interest in Connor Williams and Bates buys Williams time to heal up.

2) Poles likes a few mid-round centers and is using Bates as a bridge.

I also think it may signal one or both of Davis or Jenkins will be off the team next year.

My guess would be that Bates starts at C this year and moves to G next year after a rookie develops.
Will probably take over for N.Davis or T.Jenkins after next year. I'm on the side of re-signing T.Jenkins but it doesn't seem like Poles or Flus were ever real big Jenkins fans from the beginning.

How accurate were the pre-tampering bears rumors last year?
