We just need Aussie to tell us again ad nauseum that DT would rather sign with a Florida team than the bear's. Even after he said during superbowl week he'd love to play for Fox again.

#becausehomestate #Becausetaxes lock it up.

I can't recall Danny even rushing the passer last season. Maybe on a casino blitz?

ILB in fangios 3-4 doesnt really rush the passer. The Mike and Jack; the Mike usually plays the run and has eyes forward Jack has a bit more flexibility, he plays the run, pass and rushes the passer, spy.

My favorite teams
  1. New York Mets
  1. Houston Rockets
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Oklahoma Sooners
But at some point when everyone knows he's not coming back why would teams give anything up for him?

Well if a team got the news that the Packers were interested then that could be beneficial to the Bears with other teams that need a TE.

Why not just make FA start on Monday?

This two days speculation period is pointless! Just more hype and anticipation building for no reason.

The NFL has really gone down the crapper since Goodell took over

Average value of an NFL team in 2005 = 819 Million with the Redskins at the top at 1.2 Billion
Average value of an NFL team in 2016 = 2 Billion with the Cowboys at the top at 4 billion

Average player income in 2005 = 1.4 million
Average player income in 2016 = 2.3 million

NFL has really gone down the crapper....

If they made Monday the free agency period they would just start announcing agreements in principle the weekend before.

In the old world free agency would start at the stroke of midnight on a specific day. At 12:01 there were a bunch of deals signed for that specific date. Obviously it's a load of shit that an agent and a team can get an understanding of cost, move through the contract, have any changes made, sign it and submit it in that time period, so effectively the league was turning a blind eye to the tampering that was already happening.

Personally I like it. Same level of rumors flowing as before, but more of these deals have some meat to them.

As I said Bears are discussing with 6 players currently, no specifics names have been given this year. It's dam hard but here is the latest

The field has now expanded best I've heard 8 to 10 multiple conversations with different players agents, I think it has expanded due to MJ fall out
It appears Bears might be all in for Denver LB, not 100% sure, but I do know this FOX is pushing Pace very hard for his Denver players, very very hard, (as expected)

MJ out of the mix for Bears; Fox was pushing Pace hard but Pace does NOT want to pay big money for any position quit frankly

1. Another DL so that will make 2 offseason possible signings
2. 2 Linebackers are being sought; I believe one is from Denver and another from NFC West, don't know team
3. 2 TE's are being discussed, negotiations not that heavy but discussions nevertheless
4. 2 OL's being discussed pretty heavily, both from AFC, I heard they called yesterday about 1 from NFC but just initial call and feel out
5. Another CB which I think might be a safety or hybrid type on the list

Thats all I know right now Will have more info later I hope. I'm trying not to text him asking constantly rather depend on him to text me when he has time. But the great thing to know is the Bears are being very very active on DL, CB/Safety, LB and OL

Pace really wants the ability to draft BPA in 2016 with little need for "need" and go into it with "wants"
Change from last year I was told

Hmm....I guess I got lucky with my analysis

For all you PFFers out there, where was Vasquez ranked last season?

50th out of 81. Pass blocking was 84.2 but run blocking was an abysmal 32.9 for an overall grade of 59.8

That makes sense.

They were a man blocking team before Kubiak right? Does he suck zone blocking?

Interesting. I remember him from the draft and he ended up going 24th overall. He actually started 15 games two years ago and had 4 sacks. He only played in 10 games last year (without starting in any games). In the draft process he never struck me as an 3-4 OLB, which Indy wanted him to be. Maybe a 4-3 team that liked him will take a flyer on him.

Yeah, you really went out on a limb on calling out positions of need that the Bears are interested in filling. And Trevathan, kinda, since you never really mentioned his name.

The #Saints believe they've lost TE Ben Watson to the #Ravens, source said. He revived his career in New Orleans.
