I’ll go with Poles/Allen decision on this over yours. Sorry bro.Our front-7 on D is mid at best, and clearly subpar for a playoff-level team so I disagree with the notion that Grady will be surrounded by much talent.
Regardless, I think it's a mistake to allocate that much of our remaining cap to a relatively old guy that is far more likely to decline in production over the course of the next 3 years. An idiot signing IMO.
Sure. But he’s still an elite LT, a premier position in the NFL.I believe he led the league in number of penalties....that seems to be their gripe.
Maybe all the smoke in his gas mask got to his brane, and he’s not good anymore.
I get that part of the equation but there was no need to allocate that much money to a player whose best days are behind him. I would have instead spent that cash on signing Hufanga and then drafted DT.I guess I disagree. Grady is a “do the dirty work” kinda guy. He’s not flashy but he’s a great rotational type piece. Lest we forget how thin at DT we were last year.
Thank you.
The thing is that we still have to draft DT. Relying on rookies isn’t the smartest thing.I get that part of the equation but there was no need to allocate that much money to a player whose best days are behind him. I would have instead spent that cash on signing Hufanga and then drafted DT.
Happy to hear you are a True Believer that trusts a GM with a 14-36 record and with a history of shite signings, mid drafts at best, poor roster construction, and idiocy in hiring coaches.I’ll go with Poles/Allen decision on this over yours. Sorry bro.

And, yeah, I am in fact a lot smarter than Ryan Poles.
Hufanga has played 7 and 10 games the last two seasons. That’s your big plan?I get that part of the equation but there was no need to allocate that much money to a player whose best days are behind him. I would have instead spent that cash on signing Hufanga and then drafted DT.
You should ban themIt's so stupid the way the NFL does this. (tampering period) Poles and Johnson should be able to hold a press conference this afternoon to discuss the signings. But instead we have to wait before they can make things "official".
I dont think the Bears want to go into the draft having to reach for anyone. They are in position now to go BPA if they want.I get that part of the equation but there was no need to allocate that much money to a player whose best days are behind him. Never heard of her
I wouldn’t say they have to. They had to draft a center for years and didn’t. But the best bet for BPA available is probably DT with one of those top picks. Eagles pick DL in the first or 2nd every year seems like. The thing is that we still have to draft DT. Relying on rookies isn’t the smartest thing.
As for Hufanga, I’m not investing money into an injury prone player. Different strokes for different folks in where you wanna spend that money. It’s not a Safety for me
Yes, I would much rather have Hufanga than Grady. Hufanga is young and an absolute stud when not injured.Hufanga has played 7 and 10 games the last two seasons. That’s your big plan?
Maybe I will. You should ban them

As far as my Big Plan, the first step would be to fire Ryan Poles.
