This report makes no sense to me. If Chicago is able to sign Bosh/James, why would they choose Miami? Are they going to argue that they have a better "supporting cast" in Miami than Chicago? That team will be gutted just to sign the three. Who would they have after that? Seriously?

Why wouldn't you play with Noah and Rose (and probably Deng and Gibson) instead? I just don't get the thinking at all.

From Real GM:

Michael Wallace of the Miami Herald reports that Dwyane Wade was not in Miami this past weekend, which means he could not have been present to attend a free-agent summit with LeBron James and Chris Bosh.

According to a report from ESPN, Wade, James and Bosh all met over the weekend to discuss the possibility of the three All-Stars signing together to play for the Heat.

Two of Wade's representatives said the Heat's free-agent-in-waiting spent the weekend in Chicago and that news about the summit is false.

Brian Windhorst of The Plain Dealer reports on his Twitter page that, according to a source, James was in New York over the weekend.

In response to his refuted report, Chris Broussard wrote that both he and partner Marc Stein had multiple sources who saw the players in question in Miami on Saturday.

LMAO at ESPN and their "news". We just need to sit back and wait for later this week, fellas. All these rumors are at least proving that. I still think LeBron (and maybe even Bosh) to Chicago makes too much sense not to happen.

He was. Read the previous page of this thread. It was even mentioned in the mlb.com game wrap article as a footnote.

Here's the ESPN report:
2010 NBA free agents: LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade meet, discuss futures, sources say - ESPN Chicago

Sources close to the situation said Monday night that three of the biggest names in basketball -- Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James -- met over the weekend in Miami to seriously discuss their futures, with a focus on the increasingly plausible possibility of those three teaming up with Wade's Heat.

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com that the three players were initially drawn to Miami in conjunction with an annual two-day party and golf tournament hosted by DJ Irie -- who serves as the Heat's official team DJ -- and were seen Saturday in Miami.

Now, let's trace this rumor and trace Wade this weekend.

On Friday he was in Chicago for the finalizing of his divorce.

There's picture of him leaving the courthouse and he spoke with reporters.

On Saturday he was at the Sox/Cubs game. I already posted that.

On Sunday he was in Chicago. How do I know?

The Miami Herald interviewed him briefly at OHare airport before he left.

Too lazy. Maybe tomorrow.

The jist of it was that whenever there is a pro-LBJ to Chicago thread, everyone creams their pants, the story is credible, the writer of the story is credible, the paper is that much more credible...however whenever there is a story in which its LBJ/Bosh to MIA, NYK, etc...thread, the world is gonna end, people start griping, people think the paper, writer, and column are all a joke, etc...

Then I told everyone here to STFU and wait 30 hours for FA to begin before doing some more of this kneejerk BS I've seen for the past month or so...

cant believe its almost here

they have been talking about this for years

anyway

rumors are spreading like wildfire and alot of them will turn out to be completely false. Whether its positive or negative in the perspective of the fans of Chicago, take it with a grain of salt. Honestly, we won't really know where any of these players are going until they choose themselves

The meeting probably did happen. None of the players will admit it because of tampering rules. Idk and idc.
