I don't know the specifics of the rules, but Stern himself said he didn't care if they met. I personally don't think they did, but I'm sure they have all been in contact with each other and know what they want to know at this point. No reason to actually have a meeting.

Even if they do or had, which they didn't this weekend. They probably are saying it's not tampering because they say their friends, just like Jay Z with LeBron isn't tampering because they have been friends around eachother a bunch before with Jay Z being some sort of mentor to LeBron.

Saturday: Seen by thousands at the Sox game and a beat reporter from MLB reported him as one of the celebrity's in the crowd. He was there with his kids.

Sunday: Spoke with reporters while at OHare airport in Chicago before leaving town for a vacation with his child.

All first hand sources.

Broussard's story is that his "sources" heard from people with "knowledge of the meeting" that they were there. Broussard is dealing with third hand sources(at best) when no one even saw them.
