I never seen it .

No great loss Lou. For some reason, we don't get DiGiorno. It's called Delissio here.

The name Dr. Oetker is kind of a turn off for pizza, tbh. But I tried a couple when they were $2 each. Got my money's worth, I guess.

Sounds like a pizza made by a serial killer.

Just out of curiosity, how come you don't just make it from base ingredients. Heck, even just buy premade sauce of your choice and run with it? It doesn't take a lot of time or work, and you get your freezer space back. Pizza's, pockets, calzones, crazy bread, etc.

Frozen pizza at its best, is still pretty good. But once you hone in on a few simple skills, you'll rarely go back. From the point you start in the kitchen to pulling it out of the oven, It's maybe 2 minutes more. Preheat oven, mix dough, sauce and top it, oven beeps ready. If you have a pizza maker, then sure, you lose more time.

Frying a frozen thin crust pizza is highly under-rated. Big frying pan with a large enough flat surface, touch of corn oil, toss her in, let it sit for a few minutes then use a culinary torch the top for 40 seconds or so. A total of 8 minutes or so later you have a badass remix on the classic.

I don't keep the ingredients to make pizza lying around, nor do I eat pizza often enough to warrant it.

I can keep a frozen pizza or two for months until I decide I want to eat it.

Can't exactly do that with cheese, sausage, pepperoni, etc.

Might be able to keep a canned sauce long enough.

I would prefer to not wind up wasting food.... I know I would.

The mushroom Digiorno is ok if you don't eat it too often. The wife has brought home a few California Pizza Kitchen ones and the only thing I can say is I don't remember hating them. Other than that I really don't recall if they were any good.

Cheese can be used for other things and sausage can be crumbled and fried up and frozen next to your frozen pizza dough or frozen pre-made crusts, pepperoni if it has enough nitrates can be stored unrefrigerated for months. So basically what you are telling your readers is that you are uncreative and undisciplined and also lazy.

But not everyone knows this and I don't want your laziness to be influencing others to forego a better pizza experience because they think that food storage is an insurmountable challenge like your post makes it seem.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I get it, you worry my cult-like influence on CCS could lead people off the path to pizza salvation.

This is very wise.

I always fan out my frozen pizza slices and eat with a fork.

@crystallas

what is the difference between a culinary torch and just a blowtorch from a hardware store? can I dual-purpose my regular torch for the kitchen?
