Allen Robinson II is very unlikely to even suit up on the franchise tag. It seems more likely that it deteriorates into a Le'veon Bell situation than he plays on the tag.
Has Robinson said he wouldn't play this season?

Seems like a stretch to say this.

Robinson should actually be happy about this situation. This is not the year to be a FA. He should take his 18M, have another 1200 yard season and sign a massive deal next year with someone else when the cap goes up.

There was a report he had zero plans to sign the tag. Then it got updated with the "...in the immediate future" caveat. Still, he isn't happy about the franchise tag.

He could get injured and get nothing. He bet on himself once with that three year deal I dont think he wants to do it again.

No one is happy about the franchise tag, or at least it's extremely rare that a player is happy about it.

bears should just tank

enough with the half measures

another 8-8 season and they will be exactly where they are today
They have always been the JAGBEARS. They even turned to Foles to try and save things.

Only the Jags at least new when it was time to blow it up.

At least we got our QB of the future, though. Everything was on the table.

That Andy Dalton signing is already paying off.
Well done, Ryan.

Might actually be the plan, they just overspent a shitload of cap on a QB that led his team to the #1 overall pick the last time he was the starter. They tried JagBears and that only half sucked, BearBungles could do the trick.

Tanking doesn't work, so I don't know why anyone would still try and do it after the evidence has come in so conclusively. That said, its fairly obvious the Bears are tanking. When its intentional or not I can't exactly say.

tanking works if there is a specific target (draft prospect) in mind

but as a general philosophy, no

No way you cut Fuller, he still has positive value you could trade him to get value back if you absolutely have to move him.
