Well I am guessing that the following season will deviate the most from the books if book 4 is really as bad as people say. Otherwise they would be risking a drop in viewership.

You should be. Books 4 and 5 occur at the same time. So the series will actually be better. Book 4 sucks because so many characters are left out. I remember it as the book of brienne.

Man I really wish they would have used the line "A Lannister always pays his debts" when Tyrion put the second bolt into Tywin. I have watched the last two episodes entirely too many times.

I think Tyrion actually thinks to himself--"Tywin doesn't shit gold" which was a long running belief/joke in the book amongst townsfolk. I'm surprised no one picked up on the line when Tywin says that Tyrion is no son of his....

He basically introduces a lot of characters that no one gives a fuck about and aren't particularly that interesting. Book 5 redeems it but book 4 couldn't end soon enough. I think there is a lot of Sansa in book 4, which may be the least intriguing storyline.

Well, it's an even better line in the books:

"Lord Tywin Lannister did not, in the end, shit gold." Tyrion about Tywin.

The idea of Tywin pulling gold out of his ass comes up several times during the books. lol

I am like 3/4 of the way through the first book barely and I can say that Sansa was a real traitorous bitch. She was willing to do anything for Joffrey including turning her back on family. Granted she was a gullible child in the first book but she really had no loyalty to her family.

Anyone notice how much Tyrion doesn’t look like any of the Lanisters? Not just the the midget thing but also his hair is not blonde like his siblings. What I'm hoping is that Tywin wasn't his father after all and he is eligible to be a dragon rider. The midget on a dragon would be awesome!

Also.... in the books Tyrion has a rough time riding a horse cause of his physical stature.... lol he would be screwed on a Dragon.

Depends on how you view the title.... if you view the entire series as trying to get the Iron Throne then yeah, but you could say there are many thrones being competed for in the entire series.... Iron Throne.... Warden of the East, West, South, North.... Khaleesi seems to be trying harder to sit on a moral throne than the Iron throne.... Arya wants to sit on a throne of vengeance.... Bran a tree throne apparently or an animal throne depending on how you look at it.... Oberyn tried to attain a throne of justice..... Tywin wanted any throne he could get his hands on and IMO Tyrion is similar.... I think you can view many characters in the show/books as people trying to get to a throne of various sorts.... top of the heap in one category or another....

EDIT: Jon Snow wants to sit on a throne of recognition and ice lol
