Keep Bollig scratched. Useless POS provides nothing.
My guy :crying:
I hear Kompon wants to trade Shaw to St. Louis for Ryan Miller
So ... thoughts on Brookbank's play in Game 3?
He was okay, mostly because he was next to Keith a lot. But the other side of the coin is that Q was constantly moving all the dmen around for the first two periods. To their credit, they managed to hold things together until late. Seabrook and Keith are rock solid together and usually play about half the game....why would you break that up? Doesn't make any sense to me.
Another thing I was thinking about is that while admittedly Leddy had a bad game 2....he's been left out to dry all year as Q kept rotating different dmen into the lineup and they always partnered up with Leddy. He has one bad game....gets unceremoniously pulled in the 3rd, then is replaced when he's going home to play in front of friends and family in his hometown. Just wondering how that sat with the rest of locker room.
Pretty obvious that Quenneville is looking to punish Wild 3rd d pairing with these line combos
One of either Toews, Kane/Saad or Sharp/Hossa will have their run at Stoner
Interesting points made by Hawks blogger @FifthFeather on Twitter:
I like those combos TBH.... when Game 3 kept bumping along at 0-0 I started wishing we would just split up Kane, Toews, and Hossa and have one of them on the ice for every single shift cause all 3 of them are managing to take it to the net on their own depending on who Minnesota puts up against them.... of course Kaner's beast mode goal being the most obvious example.
I think rolling 3 lines like that could become very dangerous for Minny in certain spots
Leddy also will be back for Game 4, per Q today. Assuming that means Brookbank is out.
