This comes down to one question: if she's special to you, then take her to the winery. Someone said to DVR it and watch it later, just stay off your phone, shouldn't be on it anyway during her birthday.

If she's just some chick your banging for the time being, then skip the winery and watch football.

It's a fucking birthday.

We are not talking about the birth of a child or a funeral here.

Things I will miss a Bears game for

-Childbirth
-Wedding, but pissed at the friend.
-Funeral
-My Kids Events
-To Keep my Job
-Family Illness or Emergency

Everything else is made up important.

I know most of the comments in this thread are jokes, but it's just a fucking football game.

I try and watch as much as I can and as long as I don't have other things going on I actually accomplish watching games...but whether you watch a game or miss it, the outcome won't change. Are they more fun watching live, sure...but stop acting as if watching a game in week 6 is some important matter.

As for the OP, go to the winery...you aren't going to lose your balls or man-card if you miss a game to spend some time with your girl on her birthday.

Lots of great ideas and comments. this girl will do anything for me. She went with me to a old school boxing gym in asbury park nj i wanted to train at. Old ass gym with a bunch of guys from local gamgs training. Took her to a bar and it turned out to be a pagan biker bar. Me her and the pagans drinking. Took her to a steak house and they had one entree since she is vegetarian. she has rooted for our bears and always comes out with me to root for the team. Even her dogs have outfits! End of the day to miss a live game is rough but gotta give and take. Who knows.. Maybe we go early. She gets wasted and we leave and she sleeps in the car while i catch the 2nd half at a bar!

In a side note she knows if we get married fall sunday wedding is out of the question

So how is this even a question if you'd miss this game to take her to a winery for her birthday?

Seriously dude?

(Not trying to be a dick here, trying to be "real")

You say this girl will do anything for you and you're seriously having a tough time giving up a shitty NFL game for her birthday?

That's when you poke her in the pooper.

Sounds like she's worth missing the game.

Don't they show the games on tv at jersey wineries anyway?

I call bullshit dude. She wants to go to a winery to miss a Bears game but she won't get married during a Bears game (when a lot of weddings fall on a sunday)?

If you think doing something nice for your old lady on her birthday is feminist pushover stuff, that might explain why the only relationship you've ever had is with your xbox.

I am not an idiot. I didn't marry the first person that let me put my dick in her. If I am risking getting fucking cut in half in a divorce, its sure as **** going to be with a woman I choose is a suitable match for me. I am not settling for some manipulative ****.

Good for you. I didn't do any of these things either. Nice to see I hit a nerve though LOL.

Most weddings are on Saturdays.

Correction: Almsot all venues host weddings either Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Saturday is the first choice of almost everyone. So if you pick a venue you really like, there is a good chance that saturday is already booked up leaving you friday or sunday. Between the 2, sunday usually gives you the better discount. At the end of the day, a good venue will have a wedding every friday, saturday and sunday.

I said most weddings are on Saturdays.

You acknowledged that, and then posted a bunch of irrelevant fluff about what kind deals might be available if you're one of the rare couples who get married on other days. How is that a correction?

How many Sunday weddings have you ever been to?

I have never been to, seen, or heard of a Sunday wedding in my circle of friends or family or even their extended social group.

Because it's not rare to get married on a sunday. When good venues end up being booked all 3 days including sunday, that shows that Sunday weddings are very common.

But that is not really the point. It is odd that she would go out of her way to make sure that she doesn't marry him on a Bears game (the fucking most important day of her life) but then at the same time decide to go to a winery on her birthday only at the hours during a bears game.

Do some research on it. 3 of the 11 weddings I have been to were on sunday. Call up a reception hall and ask to see when they are booked. Most will be booked 6 months ahead of time on all 3 days of friday, saturday and sunday.

She didn't go out of her way. They're getting married on a Saturday like most people do. That isn't going out of anyone's way.

Her birthday falls in October, and will be on a Sunday on average of once every seven years. That means giving up 1 in 112 early season regular season games to do something nice for his partner (who we've already established does a lot for him too) on her birthday.

I don't think that's a big ask. I think it's the least he could do. Not making a big whiny scene over it would be nice too.

So less than 30% of the weddings you have been to have been on a Sunday.

....

You have no point.
