I can only think of three -- LeBron, Durant, and Carmelo. I could possibly throw Paul Pierce in there. Who else could even be considered? Gerald Wallace? Nope. Rudy ***? Nope. Andre Iguodala? Nope. Gallinari, Granger? Nope.

Rudy *** is better...but Deng is a top 10 SF in my opinion. Considering that Pierce and Wallace are both aging and Iguodala is pretty close...I don't think there are enough guys at the position to push Deng out of the top 10.

Gallinari is a PF not a SF. No way he plays SF in the NBA.

Noah plays for the Bulls and Lopez doesn't, so that automatically knocks Noah down, because we can't look like homers and it elevates Lopez because then we're being objective.

Oh, please. I stood in-line for HOURS to get Noah's autograph and I love the guy. But you can't tell me that Brook Lopez isn't a MUCH better scorer. It's not even close.

PS- FirstTimer, you are an idiot.

Being "special" IS a matter of OPINION. Look up the definition of the word.

Guess what, everybody-

If the Bulls pulled off that Deng+Boozer+Asik trade, FirstTROLLER would STILL talk about how much GREATER the Heat are than the Bulls.

And ironically, it would be mostly BECAUSE of how weaker they would be at SF because of that trade.

1. Lebron
2. Durant
3. Carmelo
4. Iggy
5. ***

Those players are definitely better than Deng in my opinion. *** is not much better, but he is better. All of those guys are better offensive players. Lebron and maybe Iggy are better defenders. And all of them are better ballhandlers. Wallace has slowed down and Granger has regressed quite a bit this season. Pierce is real close, but he is 35 or something like that, his best days are clearly behind him.

So I wouldn't put those guys over Deng at this point.

That said, there is clearly a gulf between 3 and 4 in my opinion. The top 3 guys are MVP caliber franchise players...none after them are of that caliber.

Honestly, I think there is a bigger gap between "2" and "3" than "3" and "4." And I think it is very clear that Deng is somewhat better than Iguodala on defense.

Very good points nonetheless.

You know FirstTimer is a troll when he says Rose is not the #1 PG in the NBA.

He is playing slightly better than any other PG right now. He's a troll because he shits all over the Bulls for the fun of it and takes joy in them losing. He probably had front-row seats and never missed a game during the Ron Mercer era.

Just curious FT, who are your 10 better then Deng? Or if not 10 better where would you rank him
Some other posters here saved me time.

Read.

then i guess by your opinion the 07 dallas team wasnt great?
Umm gee. No. It wasn't a special team.

i'm not criticizing here but i am assuming that(by your criteria) great teams basically have to win in the playoffs(though this similar bulls team did go to the conference finals last year)
What the hell are you talking about?

I gave you specific criteria for when we can start discussing if a team is "special" or not. It's not merely about "winning in the playoffs". It's about getting a ring.

The hell is wrong with you?

Are you Special person?

You have got to be kidding me. So, you're telling me that if the Sixers called the Bulls and you were the GM, you would trade Iguodala straight up for Deng?
Yes.

In a second.

Same goes with Rudy ***,
yes.

And Danny Granger
Yes.

Have you looked up the definition for "speculation" yet?

If the Bulls pulled off that Deng+Boozer+Asik trade, FirstTROLLER would STILL talk about how much GREATER the Heat are than the Bulls.
Because they would be better...short term(this year). Long term would/could be a different story based on subsequent moves that would be/could be made.

You know FirstTimer is a troll when he says Rose is not the #1 PG in the NBA.

..:rolling:

Yeah because it's "trolling" to think that Chris fucking Paul is the NBA's best PG.
He's a troll because he shits all over the Bulls for the fun of it
Nah. I just enjoy pointing out the truth about the team and it's idiot fans.

and takes joy in them losing.
Wrong.

yep

when you use labels like "special"

A. the word really doesnt mean much because its such a subjective label in the first place
B. going off A, just because you make your own criteria for the label doesnt mean that criteria is the standard

Kevin Love
LaMarcus Aldridge
Blake Griffin
Dirk Nowitzki
David Lee
Chris Bosh
Amar'e Stoudemire
Josh Smith
Pau Gasol
Paul Millsap
Ryan Anderson(very arguable)
Kevin Garnett(defense)
Zach Randolph(when healthy)
Carlos Boozer

fixed..at the very least

rip is a top10 in playing the SG position.OK if we have in the list franchise players like Kobe or Wade then he is not a top10.But are they the classic SG?No.The only guy I know who plays the position better than Rip is Ray Allen.

this whole quote is just full of failure

Yes your list is right if you want to put Boozer under every same level PF.The thing is that Boozer is better than many of them points and rebounds so he might be higher in the list right now.

As for the SG position.Tell me one more guy who plays the position by the classical mean better than Ray Allen and Hamilton.I may forget someone right now.But still he is very top in that list.

what the hell are you talking about?
KG is averaging nearly equivalent stats to boozer(KG plays way better D), millsap is averaging better stats, randolph has been hurt like all season and is STILL averaging stats almost as good as boozer

ryan anderson i guess is debatable but at this point i'll take him over boozer because he can stretch the D

:obama:

Ok and every guy who averages the same stats as Boozer is over him in the list.OK if you want this I am fine.He is still a top PF.

No Obama doesn't play the position better than them.Give me other names who play the SG position fundamentally better than them.

for one thing boozer plays pitiful defense

and randolph has been hurt

anderson and millsap have better stats(anderson can stretch the
D)

KG is the one that i was really talking about regarding equivalent stats and he plays much better D

i have no idea what the hell you are talking about...if you talk about ranking the shooting guards you have to account for all of them..not through using some bullshit criteria about fundamentals

SGs better than Rip?

Kobe
Wade
Monta Ellis
Marcus Thornton
James Harden
Demar Derozan
Ray Allen
Eric Gordon
Kevin Martin
Nick Young
Jason Terry
OJ Mayo
Manu Ginobili
Gerald Henderson
Aaron Afflalo
Paul George
Joe Johnson
