For me it was Hakeem Olajuwon, Especially considering he didn't play ball until College if my memory serves me right. Begrudgingly (Yes, I am biased against) Michael would be second.

I don't think so. I believe he played Volleyball, but was not playing organized basketball. But if you have something contrary, I would love to read it.

EDIT: Never mind, he played in a tournament when he was 15 for the first time.

How the hell can you not have Jordan above Hakeem?

Has your bias made you blind?

Nope. I just so a lot more out of Hakeem then Michael including winning back to back titles basically by himself.

He also won back to back titles in an NBA with no Jordan.

:nelson:

Olujuwon isn't in Jordan's league all time....and I LOVE Hakeem.

Not sure which games you were watching that you "saw" more out of Hakeem.

Olajuwon is my #2 of players I have seen. Even with that said, as Charles Barkley tells Kenny Smith sometimes, 'Michael Jordan let you borrow those two championships.'

What he did to David Robinson, in his MVP season (1994??? I think), is stuff of legends.

I quoted a stat during Jordan's first three championships that the only team Jordan had a losing record to was Houston. I don't think they would have won had they played Houston. Lot of phantom calls made there which led toward ref conspiracy theories.

Like I said, I know I am alone and I accept that.

Ok so Hakeem was beating the Bulls by himself?

We've also seen so far how worthless regular season matchup records are in the playoffs.

Really?

Your argument for Hakeem>Jordan is the Rockets beat the Bulls in the regular season a few times and while Olujawon was sitting at home MJ was winning rings and MVP's

Talk about taking a stat and making it worth far too much.

Like I said, I'm alone and Clyde, if he's honest, would say he was not The Glyde when he won the championship.

Maybe I was too young to really remember Magic but I was never impressed watching him play. Then again I always felt that way about Drexler too. Obvious all time greats but never gave me that "Wow" factor.

I'm 26 so maybe I missed all the great Magic/Clyde. But even watching highlights I never come away think "Holy shit!". However, both of them IMO weren't the smoothest basketball players to play the game. Drezler could dunk and fly but had this odd "Old guy at the YMCA" awkwardness about his game in terms of dribbling and shooting. Magic the same thing...but God damn were they good.
