Saying that Pippen is as good of an overall player as Kobe or Magic is flat-out wrong-headed.

Kobe Bryant was an absolutely dominant player. Not only offensively but defensively. Scottie Pippen was dominant defensively but not offensively.

As for Magic... he was just as versatile of a defender as Pippen. He wasn't the stopper Pippen was. He wasn't the athletic finisher Pippen was. But he was a better shooter and low-post player. And Magic's playmaking ability puts Scottie's to shame.

By saying Pippen is Kobe and Magic's equal, you have just proven that you don't know what you are watching. And/or that you are a homer.

I'm sorry Rami-Hue, but your statements are just not true.

Scottie was better in certain catagories as the other players mentioned and vice versa.
When compared they all balence out as the greatest players to ever play the game.
And yes, Scottie is on the same level, playing field, and platform as Kobe, Shaq, Magic , bird and MICHAEL JORDAN.
And as I said before, no matter how you feel about Pip, it is all ready written.
He will always be in the hall of fame, top 50 and spoken very highly of by the true experts of the game....And you can't take back any of Scotties 6 rings.
Its in the books for all eternity.

From a basketball standpoint I feel worthy is overrated. Was he good? Yes. But not better than pippen. I wouldn't even call him the better scorer. He was lightning quick and benifitted greatly frrom playing in that fastbreak era. Which gretaly inflated his FG% due to multiple easy layups.

From 88 on, worthy was the lakers 1st option, his highest ppg out put was 21. As a first option, in a high octane team, in a league that stressed offense.

OK! Again, everybody is overrated but Pippen...that is a lame ass argument.

pippen defended magic well in 91 finals so lakers offense was destroyed by bulls defense. magic was the same as he was before so age is not a factor in this case. bulls won 4-1, what other proof do you need?

My outrage on Hou is well-documented. I have told him to cool to off with the petty insults. And we disagree on plenty. We had the rivalry of the year on here last year.

I have told FT exactly what I think of him.

When I insult people, it is because it is true. People say dumbass shit in here all the time and I don't call them an idiot. It is when those people respond to my rebuttals in an outwardly idiotic and insulting way that I start responding in-kind.

P94 is a liar, a drama queen, and an attention whore. If those are insults- fine. But they are also true.

Bryants a better scorer. Pippen is a better defender, better in assists, rebounds, steals, and blocks so how is he not as good of and overall player as Kobe?

Kobe was a dominant scorer. He is a great defender but not even close to the dominant defender that Pippen was.

You seem to think scoring = overall.

Allen Iverson was a dominant scorer. I guess that makes him a better overall player than Pippen.

The bottom line is the only thing Kobe does better is score so I don't see how you can say Pippen is as good of an overall player is wrong-headed.

You listed half-power players, no one of them is equal to defenders from 80s and 90s period.

The difference between Bryant and Pippen is much greater scoring than defensively.
