I'm actually with DDF and SP94. This thread ran its course a long time ago. No amount of facts, stats, comparison, video, context, records, quotes, etc will sway these guys into acknowledgeing that pippen was better than what he was able to show.

Id have more respect for a lot of you guys if you'd just come out and say you don't like pippen. The saddest part is that as a bulls fan, I've had conversations with other fans and they tell me pippen never really got the respect and credit he derved from his teams fanbase. And its sad

You guys even go so far as to pick on him. You'd think you guys would be happy that as bulls fans SP94, DDF, and I have been able to present information. That would indicate that under certain circumstances, he'd be ranked a lot higher. I've had similar conversations with laker fans (who are the worse) and even they come off a certain stance that they started on after certain inforrmation is presented. But not the bulls fan that frequent this website. And that's the saddest part. When the outsiders are more willing to concede a pov than the supposed fans.

Ill close with this

In one of those scottie pippen videos, it starts off with a quote from him

"Sometimes, the hardest thing a player must do.... is come to grips with his role on his team."

The man sacrificed his career for the bulls and our enjoyment. And this is the appreciation he gets.

Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Uh. What?

I absolutely love Scottie Pippen and have praised him highly in every thread we've had this debate.

Even Pippen knows that he is not an all-time great player.

And he didn't sacrifice his career to be Jordan's teammate. That is an absolute crock.

He had a fantastic career as Jordan's number 2 and it allowed him to win 6 rings. Jordan couldn't have asked for a more perfect #2 because that was Pippen's GAME!

In fact, if Pippen never played on the Bulls, he would never have been the defensive player or shooter that he eventually became.

Kobe Bryant never had a chance to be a leader on the team and to fully utilize his talents until Shaq left. Kukoc was already comfortable in his role and was a veteran already by his second year in the NBA.

Kobe got 3 full seasons to utilize his talents Pippen got 1.

Kobe: 34 wins his first year without O'neal and resulting in Phil Jacksons only non-playoff season. And what else did he lead the lakers to after O'Neal left? 45 wins and 42 wins. It wasn't until the Lakers aquired Gasol that they won another championship.

Pippen: 55 wins his first and only full year without Jordan resulting in 1 bad call away from the Conf. Finals.

Looks to me like Kobe got a lot more time to be a leader than Pippen and did alot less with it.

You're wrong. Rudy Tomjanovic was the Lakers' coach the year after Shaq left.

And look at that team's roster. It was pitiful. Pippen's follow Bulls in 1994 and 1995 were 10x better than Kobe's supporting cast.

Kobe Bryant had raw shooting ability and penetrating ability that Pippen did not have.

Kobe Bryant demanded double teams. Pippen did not.

That year, Kobe Bryant also averaged 35 points on 45% shooting.

Pippen sure as hell never did that in his first year as the Bulls' leader.

You are talking about team accomplishments when it is obvious that Pippen had the better team surrounding him that year.

There is a difference between being great and being an all-time great.

Kidd is great. Magic is an all-time great.

Pippen is great. Jordan is an all-time great.

And if you call me young man again, I will personally make sure you are permabanned.

This guy has proven he cannot be taken seriously. He only responds to what he feels like responding to.

Back with nothing to say? Just unrelated personal attacks with no substance. Does Rami pay you to come in here and ride whatever he says without question?

Awaits Rami to scold nwfisch for yet another meaninless post...

How is that a personal attack, genius?

Like I said before, I attack dumb posts. Not meaningless ones.
