Has anyone heard anything about trading Deng, possibly?

Batum is a guy I always liked. Saw a couple of his French games on NBAtv a couple years ago. Always thought he was a smooth player.

IDK theres a handful i wouldnt take over Deng and thats also looking at this team long term. I think being 25 helps Dengs case.

Got ya. But that;s kind of my point. We agree on at least 10 names. 3-4 more are debatable and a few you don't agree. It's pretty easy to rattle off a list of 10 SF's that you'd rather want than Deng. Deng isn't that special.

^agreed(@anytime)

plus statistically wise he puts up good numbers..he just needs to work on shooting and improving his defense...and maybe work on polishing an inside outside game

and well stay healthy

best SF that the Bulls can get right now besides lebron

so might as well keep him

I guess, but the fact that we can make a list of 17 players can be made, given Deng's contract shouldn't actually bode well for the future.

Yeah and that list ignores my massive hard on for Wesley Johnson.

Hell, Deng's contract was rumored to get us Pietrus and Gortat. That's a trade that should have been made before Hinrich, imo.

^i agree with that

that and the clippers "near-trade"

were both good options

I don't think that trade ever had any real "wheels" per say. But I know when I heard it I got really excited...then let down that it didn't happen/wasn't for real.

Also, the talks of that Portland trade for Bayles and Pryz don't have much to them because Portland really likes Batum(as do I) and feel that he is already as good if not better than Deng and will continue to blossom. The large consensus around Deng is that you've pretty much seen what you will get.

Yeah Batum would be really fun to have. Like I said, I've always been a big fan of his.

Hey man, do you watch a lot of Euro basketball?? Do you know if Splitter is coming over this year??

Who's to say some of those aren't via trade?

And round and round we go!

What trade? The Bulls have offered around, and took offers. This isn't a video game.

I put up one stat, and you make a mountainous quotefest out of it. Call me an ass-clown over and over, and show little class, thats you, and nothing I can do will change that. Maturity will, but that comes in time.

If you want to debate, at least bring something to the table.

"Dis guy better, dat guy. Deng aint shit, deng sux."

Dude, the grass is always greener. If you want to be a pessimist, good for you. I go to every damn game that I can go to, and I promise you, couch potatoing off the TV or visiting the recaps will never give you the same realm of how great the game is, and how hard these players go out there and play.

If you want Pietrus,, all you need to do is watch Orlando, or whatever team he goes to. If you want whoever, just go all out, they are there for your entertainment.

All you were able to do was point at me posting that Deng did not take enough shots for you to consider his 3pt skills legitimate. That is a fair argument. But mine is that he has consistently gotten better, and started to take more and hit more at the age of 24(25 if you want to consider that he played 1 month of the season after his birthday).

It's easy to rip on players. REAL EASY, especially when they are on your team, and you see losses due to injuries. So at that point, I'm not sure if you're a Bulls fan, or just someone who came in here because your a fan of something else CCS provides.

I like Deng, I don't love him, but I understand the reality of the situation, and how we would have one hell of a time moving him because the teams don't have cap space. In pregame, he'll hit all of his shots most nights. I know he has the skills because I see it. You're not going to change my mind about Deng, or this team, so if you want to have the last word. Go for it, multi-quote like crazy.

I've given you some debate stuff. And why the hell haven't you posted that link?? I'm not trying to pile on about that......I am honestly interested in seeing that.

FirstTimer, ask him about that link to 3 point defensive statistics. He only responds to you apparently.
