He is on a team with 2 other receivers who demand akot of targets. I didn't have him going for over 500 yards. It's our other receiving options including TE that have underperformed this season.

But also we are a mess of a team whose OLine has set a franchise record for most sacks allowed and a defense that gets walked all over.

The OL doesn’t have any effect on his:

1. Bad hands
2. Poor blocking
3. Poor route running
4. And now fumbling issues

Completely forgot about that.

Goes to show just how long this Chicago Bears season has been.
Next coach and/or GM needs to move TB in the offseason. And also tell Kmet to cut the podcast BS. Too many distractions for this team.

Overall, yes. It's not all his fault, but for a top 10 pick, I would have expected more. We could have traded back and gotten Brian Thomas or Ladd McConkey for talent as good or better than Rome.

He has gotten open a lot this season, which is encouraging... but he either hasn't gotten the ball or not made the most of opportunities when it does go his way. Maybe with better coaching and system, he'll look better next year.

BTJ & McConkey have been very impressive this year. If McConkey doesn’t get injured, UGA likely beats Bama last year @bearsfan1977

He still has time, I was just hoping for an instant impact from a high pick for a change. But as Bears fans, we can’t have nicer things

My problem with his specific podcast is that he does it with CHGO (which maybe gone just due to budget cuts) and they don't want to lose that relationship so they treat him with kid gloves when he's had some really bad games this season. He's been a C+ player this season. Those guys shouldn't get podcasts.

EDIT: lose, not use.

I think he is a good route runner who meeds to better understand the playbook and the details of routes. But his ability to beat his man is really good.

I do think some of his effort and focus, just like the rest of the team has dropped a bit. Alot of guys looked checked out and there is no accountability or structure to what this team is doing.. Everyone is on a rutterless ship.

So yes, he needs to be better in areas, but I wouldn't come to any long term.conclusions from these last few games.

I understood the pick. But I was hoping they would’ve gone OL like Fuaga or Fauntanu.

No. His poor performance is a symptom of this fucking dumpster fire team. If the offense was some juggernaut steamrolling defenses but he just couldn’t pick it up or was being a ****** I’d feel differently.

Dune has more yards already than I expected in the whole season. So I’m not disappointed. Does he have work to do to get better going in to his 2nd season? Yes

He's a bright spot on an underwhelming team. Consider that he is at/above JSN's rookie year, with an offense that was set up by the same OC as JSN.

You have to wonder what the offense would look like had they gotten more OL talent and a different OC from the go. Aside from that, he's got a rookie QB that has had some bad games and some bad halves. Odunze has work to do, for sure, but he is far from a disappointment.

Rome has a chance to have the most receptions by a rookie WR in Bears history. (12 more)

Rome has the chance to finish 2nd in WR rookie yards for a Bear. (135 more)

Rome has a chance to be Top 10 in TDs as a Bears rookie WR. (1 more)
