You didn’t address any of my points from the previous post
Again my post wasn’t about his production, something most haven’t grasped yet. The issue he has are these issues:

Bad hands
Half assed blocking
Poor route running
I doubt he has another day where he fumbles twice though

Some here think this is calling him a bust or even bad but that wasn’t the point, it’s safe to say that his play, regardless of production, has been a disappointment. He’s a rookie and hopefully he has an elite impact next year in a new system and gets over his mental & physical yips.

He made at least 1 nice catch today. Bad hands to me is Tyler Scott who can’t see the field because he has bad hands. Does odunze really have bad hands?

Yeah man, i too now hate the nicest guy on the team because of that one time he got off the field when he hurt his ankle while caleb was playing "how many circles can i spin in before i overthrow my WRs".
Also literally the one undeniably above average talent on the entire roster.

Bad hands - His drop percent is 7.8% which is around the same as Nabers and BTJ who are at 7.2%. MHJ is best at 2.1% so this seems exaggerated.

Half Assed Blocking - Again all the top rookie WRs appear to suck run blocking right now.

Poor route running - Think it is more inconsistent than poor but he was always more of a contested catch guy.

I don't see how any of the above makes him a disappointment as you haven't really articulated how you are judging him relative to other rookie WRs.

Considering he's second on the Bears in receiving yards, yes, the entire team has been a disappointment.

Yes he has shown flashes which is obviously a good thing. He also had that ridiculous TD catch vs the Niners. But it would be nice to draft a player who has an instant impact and takes over; Bears haven’t had that since Urlacher in 2000 or obviously Hester in 2006. You could argue some of the RB’s drafted had big 1st years too but they didn’t stick around too long(besides Forte).

Yes, poles has failed to bring in a single player of this caliber, and I've been noticing that for at least a year now.

No reason to take that out on odunze as he wasn't hyped up to be that prospect, MHJ and for those with eyes saw that was nabers.

BTJ is a guy like that as well.

Unfortunately for WR's though you need a QB that can get the ball to you, an OL that can block, and a OC/HC that can scheme for a game instead of running the same predictable screens to DJ moore 4 times a game

Statistically, for a rookie, not disappointing.

I'm not sure how much the coaching staff has helped this guy considering they fired both the HC and the OC in the year.

I really can't lay out all the shit that happened on a rookie. He has made some really good plays and he has a rookie QB throwing to him.

I think Rome will have a good career. I was hoping they took Fashanu, but I got the pick. Once Keenan leaves, his target share will go up. I see him as a Keenan-like receiver in terms of play style (I am not saying he will have the career he’s had).

Moore needs to be used more like how DET used St. Brown.

What they really need in the WR corps is speed.

That he was a third TE that doesn’t get separation.
Can someone tell me what the joke is, that some posters refer to him as a TE? I must have missed that thread, and feel I am missing something everything someone says he would be better, if he were a TE.

It’s still his rookie year but considering his bad hands, half-assed blocking and comically bad route running, has Odunze been a disappointment as a rookie?
If you paid no attention to his college career, you might have been disappointed. The pre & post draft hype machine for Odunze made him something he is not. I am glad he is a Bear, he has played about how I expected. I never saw him as a No. 1 receiver but a solid 2 or three.

But you don’t draft a #2 WR at #9 overall.
