Haha! What was the bounty worth?

I hope pics and videos will be posted somewhere other than facebook.I still don't have an account there, and I likely never will.

I'll be working on it after the Thanksgiving holiday. It will be posted where everyone can see it.

Numbers are a little up.

We gave Sharon 1K to use for treatment or to donate to a charity of her choosing.

Rockford Hockey Club will get 1K to sponsor a player

PanCAN is getting 13.5 and counting.

We had quite an issue with friends requesting tickets and not showing. This is on me, for not requesting payment up front. This is not going to happen again.

TSHIRT sales were down, but we're selling them online and will recapture the cost unless the models scare buyers off.

Also had a couple of late cancellations, and had to eat the sweaters. Beginning with our next games, players will pay a non-refundable sweater deposit, to be credited to their fees.

I will keep you updated with totals

Thanks for making the evening memorable guys! **** CANCER

Just a suggestion for next year. Maybe get a count on the number of meal tickets ahead of time? From talking to a few of the servers at The District, it seems they didn't expect to have that many people there, and ran out of cheese sticks and mushrooms really quickly. The food situation was 110% better than last year though. That's for sure.

I had an awesome time, and I'm going to plan to make a weekend out of it next year. Either Friday or Saturday night being spent in Rockford.

The District knew exactly how many were going to be there.

They too have learned and I'm sure we'll be more prepared next year.

Experiential Education is almost always the best way to learn. This is no different.

Great event and by learning will only get better.

Agree with Pez but also understand that it is a learning process, and I wasn't upset really, just a bit disappointed that I missed out. I don't know what it was like the year before, but I was definitely satisfied with what I had. Seating was somewhat of a problem but overall the District was cool, and had some good beers on tap, overall I can't complain other than running out of the sticks and shrooms/seating. They did a great job.

Suggestion, comments, and or feedback are awesome as that's how we make it better, bigger, and ultimately more successful.

I didn't see you after the games. Where did you pop off to?

LaGrange to watch my high school get their butts kicked in the football state semifinal playoff game with my family. In retrospect I wish I would have stayed to hang out with you guys.

My sisters were happy to spend time with me so it's all good.

I'll be sure to go on a monster diet so I can fit into my jersey next year, sir.

Yep. Let us know what you think.

I think that if people committed to have guests there and they did not show or committed to play and did not make it, they should honor that commitment and pay you for the tickets / jerseys. Stiffing a charity = not cool. My 2c.

Give us bloggers a heads-up, and we can extend the reach.

I can only hope that if any of those players that committed to playing, jersey was ordered and they backed out that they at least make an offer to cover the cost of the jersey and shipping. This is a Not For Profit with proceeds going to PanCAN. I hope people step up to the plate and make it right. I also think that players should make an attempt to raise private donations in addition to their cost of playing. This is a charitable event and not just another rat league getting together. Sorry for ranting here but it burns me that with all of the effort and time into this event that some don't see it that way. How about the number of tickets that were committed to the BMO and people backed out??? Don't get me wrong most do not fall into this category but those few who it does I hope others step up and share this with them.

Actually we initially committed to 75 eating and the number grew in the week leading up to the event. They were aware of that but the number of 150 caught them a little off guard at the last moment. They were also expecting people to show up on a flowing basis but instead it was a huge number all at once. They get it now and as Ron stated we all learn. I did hear that people enjoyed the location, food and atmosphere itself. The owners and management said we had a great group that tipped well to the staff and that they would love to have us back again next year. Thoughts from others on District?

Most definitely an improvement from last year Chris. Not even a question and I'm sure next year will be much smoother.

Food was excellent.

The only issues were time and seating and thats the learning process.

If we plan on 150 next year I can guarantee it will be handled differently.

I have heard a few things on the teams, strengths and feed back from the fans in the stands. There will be some tweaks there as well to make the games more competative. Both of them.
