John Jaeckel wrote that San Jose is planning on throwing big offers at both Niemi and Hammer.
The same guy that put a virtual "done deal" on a olympic goalie(inferring Vokun) coming to the Hawks at the deadline.

Here's a guess- Hammer is signed after the Hawks dump salary and Niemi goes to arbitration meaning another team cannot give him an offer sheet.

Yes, if it were up to HF50 Kyle Turris would be in the indianhead not Kane i.e. the guy that scored the stanley cup winning goal. Yes lets trade our leading scorer in the regular season and the person that scored the game winning goal in OT to get the cup.

Worse yet, HE STILL SUPPORTS HIS ARGUMENT that we should have picked Turris. Still says Turris will be the better player.

The dumbass is proven wrong about Kane again and again and again, and still persists in his crusade against him.

You really have to wonder if there is some sort of personal motive here or something. There are not many, if at all, players in this league that can possess the puck like Kane and make plays and he wants to trade that.

weird my posts have disappeared.... anyway, scooter and pop should keep McD out of the room while they are working on trades. I am fairly confident that's where the over inflation is coming from. a first round pick for Buff? I like him, but seriously?

So have mine. Perhaps your posts were deleted because they quoted mine and mine were deleted because I quoted from an ESPN article? I don't see why if I am sourcing the material that it needs to be deleted. Copyright issues?

Multiple reports: Byfuglien, Sopel, Eager and Aliu to Atlanta for a No. 1, No. 2, Marty Reasoner and prospect Jeremy Morin.

Re: Offseason Transactions

Soooo... Colton Orr for 900,000?

Better get someone because teams are going to take huge liberties without Buff/Eager out there.

No one is scared of Burish... only other REAL fighter would be Seabrook, he knows how to throw em.

When Beach is up I want him on the ice, not in the box.

I don't like goons as much as the next person... but who do we have out there that prevents runs at Kane/Toews etc?

Brouwer... ehhhh

Seabrook.... rarely

Burish.... no one scare... going to get his ass kicked every time

Well there you go.

I am not a fan of the typical "goon" but every team has one and every team needs one, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Hawks sign one.

NHL goons are going the way of the CD. Will be extinct very soon.

And if a team wants a cup next , IMO, they should already be extinct.
