Checks notes: Interviews with Titans(Tannehill) and NE(Jones).
Yeah, you have notes, sure. Get real. He's still unsigned, so put that in your note box.

Yea, I'm sure every NFL WR would love to play with those guys.

Hop has been a FA for a couple weeks now and none of those teams have shown interest.

This is no different than @DanielCCSBears saying he wants to bang a model, but then fucks the 400 pound whale at Arby's.
One thing I think Chicago has going for them is I believe they have a lot of salary cap space to lure him in. Maybe a two year deal that's massively front loaded that the second year is player/team option so he can have a 'prove-it' kind of season?

There's ZERO chance he's coming to Green Bay. We don't have money and sure as heck don't have a QB that's gonna attract veteran WR's. This isn't a knock on Jordan Love, it's just a fact. The kid hasn't started a season yet.

DeAndre Hopkins to Chicago Bears? You folks got jokes!!!

Didn't he say he'd love to play with QB's like Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert or Jalen Hurts? Basically QB's that have proven they're good QB's? So, yeah, he's not coming to any team in the NFC North.

Cute joke though.

Edit, grammar police.
He said he wanted to play with a QB that loved the game. Thanks PackerNation.

He also followed that line with saying Kyler Murray loves the game of football. There hasn't been any debate or what not regarding Justin Fields and loving football, has there?

You do realize I didn't mean I literally have notes, correct? Are you new to the internet?
You realize how ignorant it is to say you're "checking notes" when you in fact do not have any notes? You keep trying to "fit in" with internet tropes though. And I'll continue being somewhat pedantic. ?

As for your new to internet question. WebTV, AOL and Dreamcast were my intro into the interwebz.

Separate topic, Stefon Diggs seems to be missing from Bills camp. ???

Fields can beat good teams all by himself? We won 3 games last year. Hopefully that comment will look more true this year but as of now..............no he can't.
He has that talent, if you don’t see it then you’re an idiot. Oh wait, you’ve provided years of proof that you’re an idiot.

He made a ton of chicken salad from chicken shit last year!!! Good day

Prove it dip shit! You haven’t even seen your picky toe in 15 years, how do you even know it’s still there??? You’ve never even played football as a pick up game let alone organized football. You’re the fat kid wall flower that no one picks, they’d pick a girl before you for Christ’s sake.

I’m sorry they didn’t pick you and it’s turned you into this miserable old fat dude.

Keep it about football. No one wants to hear your opinion and rightfully so, it’s been proven time and again by you to be terrible, inconsistent other than consistently poor.

Check your blood sugar

Anytime you’d like to test your football IQ with me, bring it on!

I get along with almost everyone on this board and hardly ever lose my cool and or versed anyone for their opinions but you make it impossible to treat you even with a modicum of respect.

He wants a ring but will end up signing with Titans? Or Patriots ?

Titans have an excellent coaching staff and are 1 year removed from the divisional round of the playoffs. They were also 2 games behind the division winner when they lost 4 games by 3 points or less and 6 games by 4 points or less. They are much closer to the playoffs than you think. The Patriots were also one game behind the final wild card spot and have one of the greatest coaches of all time...neither team may be the hot pick by Vegas as contenders but they aren't as far off as you are making them out to be

Hopkins is showing interest because they're the only teams showing interest in him. Sorry but the Titans are not some perennial winner and their arrow is pointing down more than it is up

In the past when they were a perennial contender with a mature team they could let guys go in FA and collect comp picks. Now the team is turning over with a rookie QB and this year they didnt get comp picks because they were buyers in FA.

So that combined with picking Pickens made Claypool expendable. No point letting FAs walk if you are not going to get comp picks for them. In any event it is also a matter of fact that they got a higher draft pick than what they used to draft him so again no he isnt a bust.

Your argument would be like saying AJ Brown was a bust because the Titans traded him while he was still on his rookie contract. That is absurd. Guys get traded on their rookie contract all the time.

No one said it was just about Claypool. I said there is no way you can get enough targets with Moore, Hopkins, Mooney, Claypool, Kmet, Tonyan, etc so it is likely several of those guys would be upset about lack of targets including the diva WR Hopkins.
AJ Brown was coming to the end of his rookie contract where he was going to command a top WR contract, he wasn't traded because of performance as evidence by his actual stats. If you don't see the difference between AJ Brown being traded and Claypool being traded mid-season than I don't know what to tell you.

And like the AJ Brown situation, when a team gets a top WR passing attempts make a jump to accommodate those targets. I showed earlier in the thread how the top two in targets for the Eagles jumped dramatically when AJ Brown joined. In 2019 the Bills were 25th in passing attempts with John Brown getting 115 targets as the target leader...in 2020 they jumped to 11th with Stefon Diggs at 166 as the target leader. When teams acquire a top WR they magically find a way to get them targets.

Now this back and forth between us is pointless because we both agree the Bears aren't going to get Hopkins. My point is that it wouldnt be the worst if they were to get a guy like Hopkins because with both Hopkins and Moore Flus will get them their targets...Mooney may see a slight dip and if players like Claypool, Kmet, and Tonyan are really going to be butthurt over getting less targets because of Hopkins than they need a serious reality check because even without Hopkins they aren't going to get a ton of targets and they need to stay in their lane.

I think ego is always a factor for GM’s! It’s inevitable human behavior.

Let’s see this season and then we will know if the trade was good or not. I have doubts.

It’s not the player that I had questions with, it was when he made the trade, how they were playing, an honest opinion on how they would finish and playoffs were never going to happen, how little time was in his contract. Etc

That made the trade a huge risk but he still has time to prove us wrong and him right.

While Poles way overpaid for Claypool and I feel isn't going to return that 2nd round value....on the current roster for the Bears he is fine. He doesn't have to be the alpha and he has big play ability and has a role on this team. My point was if Poles were to acquire a player like Hopkins, Claypool is more than expendable if the roster would require a cut like that.

How many close games did bears lose? With that logic were also were not far from making the playoffs. But really playoff contender and superbowl contender are completely different. As far as one of the greatest coaches ever I just don't see it once Brady left he was exposed especially with the decisions he made on his coaching staff. Hopkins is after money imo and at his age I don't blame him he's got 2 good years left maybe.
