Sorry but I'm not seeing the "troll" here. I agree with @gpphat that it's super weird to ask people at your table if you can order something for yourself to eat. I mean, are you grabbing steaks with a group of vegans????

And what type of people is he eating with where they would say "no, do not get the food item you want cooked the way you like it"

Best steak I have ever had is the Chateaubriand at Bern's Steak House. If you are ever in Tampa that has to be a stop. Everything they have is amazing, I think they have they largest privately owned wine collection in the US. When you finish your meal you can go on a tour of the kitchen and the wine cellar, then they will take you to the upstairs area where you can get dessert and coffee or after dinner drink. Not only is the meal amazing, but it is a full on experience.

I used to frequent Bern's "back in the day". You can tell its a throwback because its in such a bad neighborhood. Even Lee Roy Selmon had to leave.

Honestly, I think that @brett05 really just wants people to know he likes his steaks charred on the outside and raw on the inside. He tried to make a big deal about this "blue" thing here, and he is just attentionwhoring his table mates when he asks them permission to get blue steak served to him. It's almost as if he is BEGGING for them to look at his steak when it arrives, because blue.

I remember the first time I went, I thought "really, this is where the best restaurant in Tampa is located?" Now the risk of getting shot is worth the meal

I find it amazing that every aspect of brett05 ends up being weird. Nothing is normal. I imagine if you went to his house, his toilet paper holder would be vertical. I would surmise that brett05 is related to Drake LaRoche.

100% he is attention seeking with this whole "blue" schtick. I'm sure he makes a big production over asking if it is ok if he orders his steak blue and even makes sure to tell the other diners with him that he only orders his steak well done when he slums it at Applebees

It's hilarious to me. He wanted to be "edgy" with the blue steak preference, but it's not really that strange at all. What's strange is the refusal to acknowledge it's just fine to refer to blue steak as very, very rare, and then the whole concept that getting a steak more rare than rare at a restaurant would be somehow a bridge too far for the people he is dining with. I just don't get it.

Know a few people who order it black and blue or Pittsburg as it is referred to in some areas. Wife used to enjoy steaks this way but learned it needs to ordered at a good steakhouse or they likely **** it up. I’ll stick with my medium rare to rare-ish.

Have you ever eaten with folks at a restaurant?

Your troll acts sucks right now
Serious question: Is this a religious type thing? I ask, because I've eaten breakfast with some Jewish friends and I won't eat any pork in front of them.

Speaking of that clubhouse leader, this Adam Eaton-Todd Frazier beef is really weird.

See, I'm the opposite. I have a highly religious Jewish friend and I make it a point to order some form of swine any time I eat with him.

I feel like I'm doing God's work every time.

Does he look at your food when it arrives/while you are eating it?

The funny thing is, they don't give a shit what I eat. I take that to mean it's because they are more worried about their food being cooked properly, and not worried about mine.

I used to fast from meat (everything but seafood) for lent, and when I would go out to eat with some friends they would ask me where I wanted to go since I had restrictions...I told them that they should never adjust where or what we eat because of a self imposed restriction.

Interesting. I used to fast from food entirely during lent, and when my friends would ask me to go out to eat, I told them they couldn't go out to eat because I was fasting.
