Is it okay to be disappointed that after 16 games where Nagy showed these tendencies, and had a chance to learn these lessons, he needed just one more, on opening day, at home, against the Packers to finally learn?

Let’s put it this way remy they got rid of Howard just cause this is the plan they want to implement.

Bottom line this is the game plan and maybe they pick it up as the year goes on.

You make a good point, can it be compared to an addict that thinks this is the last time I'll use and after this time I'll quit but doesn't.

This loss is only helpful if Nagy actually does learn from this. I honestly don’t know if he’s humble enough to learn from it.
He needs an intervention...Pace ....Helfrich...Brad Chidress is behind the scenes as a consultant...somebody???? Please???

Idk man the playoff loss was pretty embarrassing offensive performance also seems to be he just double downed on that game plan

No because you had homers pinning it mostly on Parkey and making excuses for Nagy and Mitch. Can't blame the kicker on this one because the coward didnt let him kick a 50 yarder.

I don't know if anyone else has said it, but I think Nagy's trick play stuff isn't as much about his own perceived arrogance as much as it is about his lack of faith in Mitch Trubisky. I think he feels like he has to do that stuff more often than usual in order to ease the pressure off his QB and keep the defense honest.

I didn't have a problem with the Patterson play. He did that stuff for New England last year, and one of his good games came against GB. Plus, he's big.

The 3rd and 1 pass later in the game is the one that pissed me off. That should have been a QB sneak or a RB handoff, at worst, to pick up what should have been an easy 1st down. I did not understand what the hell they were doing on that play.

Time for you all to take a twitter adventure to Baldy’s page.

I can blame Nagy for rust and inability to adjust in this game.

However, the calls would have been fine if executed or better execution by the Packers D.

Cohen dropped the pitch because he saw enough space for an 18 wheeler to go through.

Tramon Williams force out on AROB prevented a TD.

Contact on the wheel route to Cohen prevented a TD.

Kenny Clark split double teams all night and panced Daniels on the 3rd&1 run with Patterson.

Trubisky on the almost INT cross body throw could’ve Rodgers it and three to open space for a likely TD.

I could go on and on. They could’ve used about 10 more runs, but execution on all levels of the O is as responsible. You could argue the backfield and AROB played well on offense, but the rest all had a hand in preventing a score.

At this point I am at a reverse bell curve with Trubisky. Good Alex Smith still had a great run game to support him.

3 points in a low scoring game can change the dynamic. Should have taken the 3 pts.

Nagy needs a reset on his play calling, he is screwing this up. The O-Line would play better (so would Mitch) if he started off with some straight ahead run plays that allows them to be aggressive thus setting the tone for not only play action but need to establish the run(nagy's philosophy aint working). After the O gets a rhythm going throw in some of the gadget plays.

Things will come to Mitch much easier if Nagy can figure out his play calling deficiencies. I'm calling for just basic old school offense... run the damn ball and it opens up passing and whatever else you want to do.

During Nagy's presser, he mentioned the wrong personnel was out for one of those 3 & 1s. It might have been the Patterson one where Daniels forgot to block his man. He said he noticed but didn't want to waste a timeout.

While you are calling out some truths, had Nagy came out with a better play call scheme... would have changed everything.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Nebraska Cornhuskers
  2. Villanova Wildcats
I, as well, am also happy my favorite NFL team lost 6% of their season.

nope, there are Bears fans in here that would rather have the Bears lose so that they can end up being right about certain things.

Who are these people you speak of?

Pattetson is the 4th best RB on the team. It is hubris to think your 4th best RB is going to consistently beat the other teams No 1 defense.

If Patterson was actually a consistently good player he wouldn't be the 4th string RB and 5th or 6th string WR on a mediocre offense like the Bears.

The team has no identity on offense because Nagy hasn't established who his core group of players are.

It has to be frustrating for a player to make a big catch like Monty only to then not see the field for 20-30 minutes. It also is not good for the QB because he's got like 10-12 different players who he needs to try and establish a rhythm with and in just a couple of plays at a time.

It should be Monty and Cohen at RB and ARob, Miller and Gabs at WR. Let him get comfortable with those 5 guys first then work in the others once a rhythm is established. This subbing in whole new personnel play after play just destroys rhythm and continuity on offense.
