Also contrast Nagy's use of Monty with Reid's use of Hunt. Monty is being used sporadically despite Nagy himself saying how great he thinks he is. Meanwhile Reid understood what he had in Hunt and gave him 17 rushes and 5 passes in his debut. Hunt went for 148 yards rushing and 98 yards receiving.

Not saying Monty would blow up like that but if you kmow the guy is a talent and the best RB on the team then use him as such instead of giving Patterson and Davis so many touches.

Because failure is a good motivator. It helps you to see flaws you would otherwise ignore and it can humble a person who is becoming too arrogant.

Nagy needed a reality check and I would much rather he get it in game one than in the playoffs.

The playoff loss wasnt enough to teach him the lesson because all anyone wanted to focus on was Parkey. Now he has no scapegoat.

I remember arguing after the playoff game whose fault it was. Several ppl jumping on Parkey, and the defense giving up a late drive and score, regardless of the fact that 9 of our 15 points came from Parkey....like no one wanted to question Trubisky and Nagy's SIX points in a playoff game. Now they come out in a highly anticipated season opener and score THREE POINTS!

I think they are waking up though.

I used my superior math skills to figure out that in our last six games, we are only averaging 16 ppg. (playoff game included.) We used to complain during the Urlacher era that if we could score 20 or more we would win every game. It's all starting to be the same again....but we hired Nagy to be an offensive guru. Lovie Smith's crew was doing a similar if not better job.

Nagy shouldn't NEED a reality check. The fact that he can't/won't run the ball and isn't able or refuses to adjust as the game goes on suggests that he has serious deficiencies as a playcaller. I think it's fair that fans are worried. Even if he wises up and wins in Denver, how many more games will he lose because he reverts to his love of trick plays?

No because you had homers pinning it mostly on Parkey and making excuses for Nagy and Mitch. Can't blame the kicker on this one because the coward didnt let him kick a 50 yarder.

I do think he should of let him kick the 51 yarder but i'm over that because we wouldn't of won the game if we kicked that field goal and another one. Lets also not act like anythong in the 50's is a gimmee for any kicker but it still would of been nice if he would shown some confidence in his kicker and give some confidence to his kicker by letting him try it. Now if he would of let him try it and Piniero missed then that could hurt Piniero's confidence so again i'm over that choice of not letting him kick and more about stopping trying all the trick plays so much and trying to let every damn offensive player on that 53 get on the field.

A.Robinson is a #1 WR in this league and Gabriel and Miller are your #2 and #3.
D.Montgomery is your 3 down RB and Davis should only go in when Monty needs a rest and Cohen i'm fine with playing him all over the place. He's your gimmick guy.
Burton needs to get healthy and until he does then at least run more then 2-3 plays a game for Shaheen so you can see what the hell he can do and let Braunk get some run.

Time for you all to take a twitter adventure to Baldy’s page.

I can blame Nagy for rust and inability to adjust in this game.

However, the calls would have been fine if executed or better execution by the Packers D.

Cohen dropped the pitch because he saw enough space for an 18 wheeler to go through.

Tramon Williams force out on AROB prevented a TD.

Contact on the wheel route to Cohen prevented a TD.

Kenny Clark split double teams all night and panced Daniels on the 3rd&1 run with Patterson.

Trubisky on the almost INT cross body throw could’ve Rodgers it and three to open space for a likely TD.

I could go on and on. They could’ve used about 10 more runs, but execution on all levels of the O is as responsible. You could argue the backfield and AROB played well on offense, but the rest all had a hand in preventing a score.

At this point I am at a reverse bell curve with Trubisky. Good Alex Smith still had a great run game to support him.

Just to not put the C.Patterson 3rd and 1 run all on Daniels, even if Daniels didn't get blown up, Sowell also got blown up from a DB that was also in on that play. Horrible block try by Sowell.

During Nagy's presser, he mentioned the wrong personnel was out for one of those 3 & 1s. It might have been the Patterson one where Daniels forgot to block his man. He said he noticed but didn't want to waste a timeout.

Please football gods don't let this be a M.Trestman thing all over again.

I don't think i've ever agreed with so many Remy posts in my time on CCS and that's not a shot at you Remy but we've just disagreed on a lot in the past.

It sounded in his presser that he did get that reality check and understands how bad he was as well as the O-Line and Trubisky.

This lost won't help us. It was so stank we should have had Club Dud in the locker room.

Interestingly, Andy Reid threw short passes in lieu of running the ball in PHI. But, he started to wise up and run more, especially in KC. I hope the Nagy learns the lesson sooner than Reid did.

Nagy needs to put his best players on the field and draw up plays for them to succeed instead of trying to draw up the “perfect” play call every play.

Beyond the QB, the most important players on offense, IMO, are Robinson, Miller, Cohen, and Montgomery. The bears, without a single doubt, need to feature Mont. That’s a fact. After him, they need a heavy dose of A.Rob and Miller. How could you not find targets for that guy? He was open so much last year and didn’t get s chance a lot of the time.

Then after those 3, you start to draw up the gadget plays with Cohen, Patterson. You could mix in Burton, Wimsy, and Gabriel. But after you establish Mont and your 2 best receivers. I like mixing it up, but you have to start by going to your best players until proven ineffective.

We are in trouble.

They had 9 months to get some of this stuff ironed out. 275 days and now we expect them in 10 days to fix all these issues that they couldn't over 9 months.
