I think we’re going to have to worry about Jordan Love being great, guys.

He believes in the concept of free speech so much that he freely used his speech to say that suggesting that black people got their job without being properly qualified for the sake of diversity evokes bigotry in a way that might violate the rules for posting on this forum.
He can be dead wrong. That's allowed.

I wouldn’t have made such a bold proclamation. But if I’m looking to defend our friend, I would say that the following needs to happen for that prediction to come true:

*Jordan Love essentially stops growing (I think we’re basically there now)

*Sam Darnold signs a contract elsewhere this offseason (seems likely)

*JJ McCarthy becomes the Vikings QB and goes through the typical first-year starting QB troubles.

*Ben Johnson takes the Bears job, which elevates Williams enough and de-elevates Goff enough for Williams to become the best QB in the NFC North.

I wouldn’t be so bold as to predict it, but that list of factors wouldn’t be so outlandishly crazy to actually happen.
OK sure everyone in the NFC North gets worse. That’s great, the Bears (and especially Caleb Williams) are still atrocious. I don’t know if you remember the Bears scoring three points against the Patriots & Seahawks? Or that four yards of offense in the first half against the Niners? Or when the Bears didn’t score a passing touchdown for over a month? Or when the Bears didn’t score on offense In the first half for over a month?

It all sucks. Caleb Williams more than just about anyone else on the team. Ben Johnson ain’t touching this with a ten foot pole and I know when they hire Anthony Weaver you all will go full Stockholm Syndrome and say “whoa we don’t even WANT Johnson, Vrabel, whoever…we got THAT DUDE here” but reality is they’ll keep being shit.

My point is that to even get to the point where the Bears are getting stomped in the playoffs would require an across the board improvement that simply does not seem realistic with Kevin Warren, Ryan Poles, Caleb Williams and George’s team of cackling hen SVP’s making all the decisions.

Again, you are entitled to your opinion. And some of it I agree with but I do think you are being overly hyperbolic.

But you ALWAYS say all the negatives, are quiet on the positives, and never voice your opinions on what would turn things around. That is the annoying part. You have not listed who you want for head coach. Or what your offseason plan is from a player personnel standpoint. And I think it is because you don't want to be factually wrong. Which is pathetic because this is just a message board.

Andrew Luck had a QB rating of 76 in his rookie year. 23 TDs & 18 INTs.

RG3 had a QB rating of 102 & a 4-to-1 TD-to-INT ratio.

Do you really not remember the massive "RG3 is better than Luck" narrative after their rookie year?

Yea but OK the real narrative is like Jayden Daniel’s vs Bo Nix/Drake Maye. Caleb Williams isn’t really relevant anymore, he’s so far behind the others.

Not really. Every single first round QB who started this year had a better rookie year than Andrew Luck. That's the point. Andrew Luck was the #1 pick. Caleb Williams was the #1 pick.

Personally, I think Daniels will be a solid QB, however there's 2 things I worry about:

1) I think he's significantly closer to his ceiling than Caleb is right now (recall how much experience JD already has)
2) Daniels is not a thick QB. At some point a hit is going to be far worse than his somewhat minor mid-season rib injury. Can Daniels live long term in the pocket and not run?

I literally have no idea what you're talking about. Anthony Weaver would be a bad choice, given the possibilities. "Ben Johnson ain't touching this with a 10-foot pole." Yeah, remember that when he's multiple interviews in and has his sit-down at Halas Hall next week.

Jayden daniels took 5 years in college to perform well.

Caleb was great from his first game as a freshman vs. texas.

There is a reason caleb went #1 overall. Montucky is just a moron with no eyes for talent. Both can be very good QB's but caleb has traits that only a couple qb's in the NFL have.

Lets not act like if jayden was on these bears he'd have stayed healthy.

In defense of RG3, I probably don't need to even say it, but I think he's a bit unfairly labeled when his career was just really derailed cause of injury. He was actually showing promise otherwise.

This right here is the key.
Regardless of the question about how good Daniels may or may not end up being, the first question is whether or not he gets murdered by a defensive player in the next year or two. He had 148 carries this year. This simply cannot continue.

Bears fans coping on passing up on a clearly superior player because he might get hurt is rich. Caleb Williams is a deer in the headlights back there, seventy sacks!! If anyone is due to get majorly injured its him.

But carry on with the fantasies and BS excuses…
