I'm optimistic about Cutler and I find this funny. JC is closer to Jeff George and Rex Grossman at this point than Favre.

we don't always agree but the " Jeff George" example is spot on

Has there ever been a super bowl winning team that wasn't at least, almost complete? That's how you win a super bowl, by making yourself the most complete team in the NFL.

Super bowl teams lately have a good QB, a solid offensive line, a decent running game, and play making wide receivers, along with a solid defense. The exceptions are few and far between.

True, the Giants were "almost complete" when they won the SB, so were the Packers

You ass clown, you're not looking at qualified leaders but anyone who even had 1 attempt. Do the same with Cutler and he's #34 last year.

People like to remember things with tinted glasses but I remember certain things. I can't remember perfectly but there was QB controversy with Flutie, Tomzak, Fuller and McMahon, they were trying to replace McMahon half the time he was on the Bears because he was so undependable.

McMahon was on IR you goof

We were talking rating not yards. Yards thrown does nothing to show efficiency.

Again....jay does not qualify for "best Bear Qb ever". Until further notice that go to Sid Luckman.
Are you SERIOUS...
1950 Sid Luckman? Really? Born in like 1920 or something Sid Luckman?
Dont get caught up in the crap ESPN spews and take that as some great truth. There wasnt even a SUPERBOWL then....:rolling:

Look Im not sure they werent wearing leather helmets back then but if we are gonna bring up "different era", lets at least keep it to the damn superbowl era.

Actually he is.

Cutler normally ranks 10-13 in the league

Mchamon was around 20-25 if not worse

Cutlers ranking in QBR:

2007 - 12
2008 - 16
2009 - 21
2010 - 16
2011 - 13
2012 - 20

AVG - 16

Cutlers ranking in yards/game (have to account for injuries)

2007 - 13
2008 - 3
2009 - 14
2010 - 20
2011 - 18
2012 - 26

AVG - 16

Cutlers ranking in Int's

2007 - 12
2008 - 2
2009 - 1
2010 - 8
2011 - 31 injury year
2012 - 12

AVG - 11

Cutlers rank in TD's

2007 - 13
2008 - 7
2009 - 8
2010 - 13
2011 - 24 injury year
2012 - 21

AVG - 14

So the only category he ranked between 10-13 was interceptions

You're the one with the clouded thinking. Marino's career QB rating was 84. I can point to a ton of QBs who came after him and had a much higher rating. Does that mean they're all better than him? No, it was a different damn era and the stats for QBs were way different. The passing game has evolved over the past few decades, rules have changed, today's athletes superior and what not.

You realize there's a stat for this right?

The guys said Cutler normally ranks 10-13....ranking 10-13 every once in a while does not constitute normally

The statistical flailing and failing in this thread is ridiculous.

I have hit a half court shot blindfolded once....so yeah I can normally hit a half court shot blindfolded
