That and the fact he has a high chance of being injured. If he ever loses his mobility, he won’t be half the QB he is now.

Would he start to lose it in the 2-3 years (or more) it would take to build that contending team? Do you want to risk his health playing on a subpar team until then?

He is a top 10 QB when throwing in the pocket so it is not just about his mobility with him.

So he put up video game numbers in virtually all situations whether it was close or not.

being down a couple touchdowns a game and playing against soft defenses sure does help.

There were 8 games they lost that they lost by 8 points or less. Considering they had the worst D in the league, I'd say Watson helped them stay in all of those games. If he's not there they most likely get destroyed in all of those games.

In fact, imagine if Trubisky is playing those games instead of Watson. :grimmace::grimmace:
