How can I say it? By not actually saying it, but by you putting words into my mouth. Read what I've said: "probably going to lose", "playing the odds", etc. That doesn't read to me at all like I said it was out of reach, just unlikely.

So down by 8 is not "out of reach" but it means they are "probably going to lose"? Sorry for making that giant leap. What odds his he playing? Also what does it hurt to play Rose an extra 3 minutes after he was sitting on the bench for most of the 4th?

Again, you're not going to win games when the opposing team jacks up 20+ 3s and hits 67% of them...you can chalk it up to bad defense...or the other team just being hot...or what have you...but we weren't winning that game.

Bulls fans should be disgusted after this game.

The team played HORRIBLE defense.

The rotations were late and just so so much bad to talk about here....

We played great defense on Amare I thought. Our perimeter defense could have been better but it wasn't 16-24 bad either. Most nights that defense would have been good enough to win.

Watson was awful.

It's pretty clear he's not the right backup point guard for this team. :(

JJ was awful.

Awful doesn't begin to describe it. As good as he was against the Pistons I think he's just about played his way out of the rotation again.

Asik was more awful than he was good.

I think that's harsh on him, you can't expect a rookie center to be great every game.

Asik has NO business being in there for over 20 minutes.... none.

The Bulls would have WON the fucking game if they LET Amare dunk the ball 16 times instead of letting them hit all of those threes. WHY were they trying to trap guys in the corner??? Wow much do they need to gamble on D??? They should have made Gallinari put the ball on the damn hardwood and dribble into a shot... jesus.

:smh: I don't know how anybody can defend blatant GIVING UP. That game was only over because Thibodeau decided that it was.

the bulls bench sucked during the first quarter of the game. I really dont want to see scalabrine at all. Play deng, play taj, play noah at pf, anyone else besides scal and kurt thomas. they're giving us absolutely nothing besides passing, bad shooting and terrible defense.

OK, been doing my research, here's a little quiz for the people who think we were totally in the game despite being down 9 (I said 8 but I checked and we were down by 9 after Gibson made two free throws with 3:03 to go).

Last season there were 148 games where the margin was between 8 and 10 points with 3 minutes to go. How many times did the team trailing win?

(Hint: the answer rhymes with hero).

2 Quick Things....

- Why the hell was Rose and Noah on the Bench most of the 4th quarter. Korver cuts it to 8 with about 3 minutes left and Rose, Noah and Deng are on the bench. WTF.
-The defense was horrible tonight. Some of those 3's were contested, but a lot of them were not. Credit to the Knicks for hitting those 3's, but if the Bulls contest most of those shots, they aren't hitting all of them. They had open looks the whole game. The defense was bad....

Shakes, 12 points down with 1:00 left is enough time to come back and beat a D'Antoni led team...

Stop making excuses for Thibodeau throwing in the towel early.

And I keep saying I don't think it's impossible, I just don't think it's likely enough to make continuing to rest your guys a bad move. I wouldn't have been pissed if he decided to go for it, but I'm also certainly not going to crucify the guy for what he did either.

Well, I'm not crucifying him. I'm just saying it was a huge mistake that cost the Bulls the game.

I don't want to get overly upset about the strategy for playing time until I see what we do tomorrow.

If Thibs put his effort into beating Boston, and we do... That is a win that I would much rather have. At this point of the season, where Brewer is limited, and Booz is out, I can't blame the use of this strategy. Who would have predicted that a cold as ice Gallinari would catch fire.

I don't see how it "cost" the Bulls the game when it wasn't the Bulls game to lose. You're acting like he pulled Rose when the Bulls were ahead by 20 and we lost. :)

You're down 9 points at home with a few minutes left against an inferior team. Thibs rested this 3 best players the 4th game of the season. Say what you want about Vinny, this is the biggest boneheaded move I've ever seen. If you looked at the players on the court you would have thought we were blowing them out.

You must win at home, especially against teams like the Knicks. A few extra minutes rest doesn't help you beat Boston tomorrow. I believe in rewarding your bench but you play your best players when the game is on the line, period. CJ Watson shouldn't have seen the court that late, neither should Asik. I can't wait to gett boozer and brewer healthy to make up for this horrid coaching.
