His TOV% is 29.3. By far the highest of his career. His career average is 17%

Last year it was 19%

yes so far it is up a bit this year, but again for the number of assists he gets its still acceptable. and id be willing to bet by the end of the season over the course of 82 games that number will come down a bit closer to his career average

Does Mirotic just jack up 3's and pray they go in? lol

He automatically shoots when someone else yells open. I think to him, the word open means the basket is open for him to shoot.

Not a bad first half all things considered...

1. We are playing the team with the best scoring margin in the East and beating them in their court.
2. we are coming off back to back rough games.
3. Hoiberg is clearly still trying to find a rotation that works.

Not really. That's pretty damned bad, actually.

To put things in perspective, Noah's AST% is 23 and his TOV% is 29. His USG% is 12

That's not good.

Rose, who is careless in his own right, and not exactly a great passer has an AST% of 30 and a TOV% of 13. His USG% is 25

Yes, Noah is a C and Rose is a PG...but you can't try to glorify Noah's play making when he's turning the ball over at an insane rate while not really handling it a ton.

noah is widley considered to be one of the best passing big men in the game. if you want to knock noah for something theres things worthy of it, but his passing isn't one of them

a 2-1 assist to turnover is okay, but if you look at the league right now a 2 would put you around 40th in the league which is okay but not good.

how many centers are there in the league with a 2 - 1 ratio? the guys ahead of him are mostly PG's

If you want to ignore numbers and take stock in "Noah is widely considered one of the best passing big men in the game" then go right ahead. Don't shoot the messenger. He's a capable play maker who is just coughing up the rock like it's candy while having a low USG%

Reputation, league perception, and reality are vastly different things.

i was unaware who we were talking about in all honesty but yeah i would agree he is one of the best passing big men with that said the bulls as a whole have had turnover problems these last couple games.

well what do you think of a guy named LeBron james?? noah has a better assist to turnover ratio than him and hes pretty damn good. again youre down on noah for the wrong reason...his assist to turnover ratio is exceptional for a center...that's facts

Uggh....this is why assist to turnover ratio is an overrated stat and why you look at AST%, TOV% and USG% which tells you a much more detailed story.

And btw, Noah in the past has had a way higher USG%, a WAY lower TOV% and a higher AST% meaning that he's having a down year in the play making dept. Which is why reputation doesn't mean much. Only the present does.

Also, please never compare LeBron's play making to Noah lol...especially if you're just going to bring in assist to turnover ratio without looking at anything else.

its not to compare noah to LeBron. my point is that noah for a C is one of the best in the league at it. he has flaws as a player, but you are critiquing the wrong thing with him. has he been better before? sure, that's probably the case...but he is still playing at a high level for the minutes he is playing per game

I think we have a much more pressing matter at hand gentlemen... Tony Snell is getting way too many minutes for how incredibly ineffective he is on the floor.

I would like to see that as well. I have never been high on taj because he plays sloppy defense even though he is alright offensively.

I'm not critiquing the wrong thing at all with him lol...it's a valid critique this year and the last time I checked, you don't win games by past accomplishments. This year Noah has been great rebounding the ball and great defending. His offense has taken a major step back and his play making has taken a step back. He has a career high TOV% and I'm fairly certain a career low USG%. I call it the way I see it man. I still like Noah but I'm not going to ignore data because I like Noah and he was a better play maker in the past. That's silly. That's like going easy on Rose this year because he used to be good. Fortunately, Noah is still a good defender and a good rebounder. I'm giving credit where it's due and also giving criticism where it's due. It's not that complicated or difficult.
