Kruger with an absolute braindead penalty 16 seconds in from the offensive zone. Cannot spend a shit ton of time on the pk, or this game will easily be all Wangs. Yep, they make Kruger pay.

Kane at C with Hoss and Stalberg on shift #1 for that group.

Why does no one on this team go up high with their shots?

I think its just the desire to hit the net...

though it is possible to hit the net with lift on your shot..believe it or not.

Its almost funny now. Its in their heads with the PP. The only way they get one is a lucky deflection at this point...its probably what they need.

Detroit is passing the puck like they invented the game. Its kinda like an NBA team that comes out hitting every shot they throw up. If they continue to move it like that, its already over. You gotta hope they come back to reality a bit.

yeah the 2nd pp was ok... they won a draw and kept the puck in. no need to see their terrible zone entries.

I don't buy the "it's in their heads" talk.

its just flat out dumb, lazy hockey.

if you played sports at any level (dont know if you have) psychology of the aspect of failure on a specific portion of a game can affect one or more players. 0/29 on the pp isnt "lazy" hockey. They are trying different things to break this streak, players are frustrated and may be over analyzing what they are doing.

played hockey in college

if you can't carry the puck in, chip and chase. the only mental aspect is the unwillingness to change.

there is more to it than just surface strategy. mental aspect is huge. it plays a part in all sports.
