I want us to fire Gar/Hoiberg and beg Thibs to return.

I think that ship has sailed unfortunately. Any idea about the replacement for Gar? I do think that they need to blow this team up and that would require a pretty dynamic guy. They probably should start the process right now before the trading deadline ends by trading Gasol, Snell, Dunleavy, and Gibson. Let Mirotic, Portis, and McDermott mature as players if they can.

THen in the off season, I would try like hell to trade Rose for a lottery pick and a couple of good young players and an expiring contract. WIth three or four good draft picks and an improving cap picture, they would still take their lumps next season but possibly be on their way to being a good team.

um yes he did/does

its so funny to me watching ppl act like thibs was some underdog that had all the answers but was unappreciated by everyone and was done wrong by the powers that be...its absolutely hilarious

48 minutes in a preseason game...how about that smelling salt? it wake you up? thibs was good but flawed coach hopefully he improved his flaws some and i wish the best for him at his next stop (Minnesota would be awesome)

I think he was under-appreciated for his player development. ANd yeah he did have his flaws in terms of player minutes. But he was done wrong by the powers to be. Instead of supporting him, they under-mined him. And Reinny let it happen.

What is funny about that? What do you think that they could get for Rose. They would need a matching contract to do a deal, right. One of the "couple" of good young players could be a draft pick., right?

Please find the team willing to give up good young prospects for Rose

Yeah. Not ENOUGH credit is correct. Clearly Reinny didn't give him enough credit. Clearly his bosses didn't give him enough credit. And as for the fans, many just criticize his pushing his players too hard and even blame THibs for the injuries sustained. While on that subject, with the so-called player's coach, Hoiberg.......... Mirotic, Rose, Butler, and Noah all sustained multi-week injuries under the new regime:( Where is the outcry about that?

That's it? I said that they should TRY to trade Rose did I not? Rose has value, particularly when the cap increases significantly. He is improving right now as a player and by next year should be pretty well back to probably 90+% of what he was before the injuries. He has value and all you can do is mock me?

I would bet you that if they did their due diligence that they could find a team willing to trade for Rose for a matching contract and a high draft pick. Perhaps the Clippers if they want to compete with the Warriors in the next couple of years? back-court of Chris Paul at the point and Rose as SG would be a pretty interesting match-up with Golden State. Don't know the Clippers draft picture but the logic is there for a deal that might involved Griffin coming back to the Bulls.

I'm just spit balling here. You might try it instead of mocking me like a dope does.

Not many teams will want Rose. And there's no way the Bulls are getting a lottery pick for Rose.

The Knicks maybe? The aforementioned Clippers? The Celtics? What about the Spurs who are going to have a guard problem possibly next season. The Lakers? The Kings?

Point is that some of you guys think that the Bulls are just stuck with Rose until his contract expires. I just do not happen to think so. WHen the cap increases, Rose's contract will be a reasonable one and not have the team tied up for multiple years. I just think that Gar/Pax are not doing any out of the box thinking in regard to a re-build.

Their track record for free agency is pathetic and a lot of it is because of Reinny. Call it the Jordan curse or whatever, but the premier players do not consider Chicago a good fit. So it probably will stay the same regarding not bringing in good free agents until Reinny croaks. So barring that, they need to re-build via trades and the draft. Even if they have to take somewhat of a value lost in trading Rose, they should do it.

The clippers have Chris Paul, they don't want Rose. The Celtics wish to stay young and healthy, also don't need Rose.

The Spurs don't make trades and neither do the Bulls.

Also the Bulls aren't God awful in free agency. They have signed guys, just not the top tier, and really only the Lakers, Magic, Heat, and Cavs have ever signed top tier free agents.

You just do not get it. The salary cap is going to expand greatly. Their are teams who are young and hungry and want to take the next step. In the West, the GOlden State Warriors are the big kid on the block and are not going away. The Clippers, Spurs, Dallas, Kings, even the Lakers (who will have a lot of cap room when Kobe leaves next year, know that they need to improve. Rose is, right now, a good player and I believe that has value in trade.IF we had a GM/Pres that was worth a shit, this could happen.

And if you looked at the situation of all the teams you're mentioning, none of those teams are getting an improvement by trading for Rose, so why bother?

Just what I suspected, GarPax are just 2 bums incapable of getting good young players and a lottery pick for Rose.

The Bulls have failed bringing in top players in free agency. Sure they signed guys, so what. The only good player was Gasol and he is leaving this year so I do not call that a great signing. Also, the Knicks, Clippers, and Spurs brought in top guys via free agency.

How do you know that the CLippers wouldn't want Rose? You don't know that. They also have Blake Griffin who did a stupid fucking thing to an equipment manager and is in hot water with the Clippers and the league. Why not work something out for a Griffin/Rose trade with maybe Gibson as part of the deal also to replace Griffin? Makes sense to me. I would really enjoy watching a Rose, Paul backcourt battle it out with GS's great back-court.

Rose and Aldredge would be an interesting duo in San Antonio. That "Spurs do not make trades is bogus". They are on their last legs for a couple of their key stars and will have to re-build.

At the end of the day, you can sit here and bash Reinsdorf all you want but it won't change a thing. He gives zero fucks. He's got more money than this whole board combined and even at his age he can get all the pussy he wants too. Reinsdorf haters need to accept that things aren't changing.
