Why would Georgetown be more likely? Chin is his dad’s best bud from what I understand. Ewing and crew may be gone after this season. Not saying it isn’t a possibility, but Georgetown isn’t ahead of anyone.
I know space can always "be created", but Illini have no room for him unless someone else transfers out. If someone does transfer, it's most likely Tevian Jones. I think Georgetown has lots of schollies available for him.

"Foul on Archibald!" I hate blaming refs in any sport but that was ridiculous, as was the 2006 2nd round game where UI was up 10 late on Brandon Roy's UW team and the refs just gave them that game.

I remember that Powell play. I remember Luther missing two wide open threes down two late in the final, never got closer than that.

I think Spears could have at least tired Sean May out a little when Augie was in foul trouble all night. And Randle could have checked McCants a little bit.

I think 5 players fouled out.
Archibald
Cook
McClain
Griffin
Johnson

I remember they basically doubled the FT attempts too and it made up for half of their points. And to have to listen Walton call the Illini a dirty team all game.

Edit: just checked. It was 6 players out. Damir fouled out too. Lol

Even Nate Mast & Brett Melton saw time. 43 of Zona's 87pts came from the line. Not one Zona player fouled out. Lol

is it me or does it feel like Trent Frazier as been in Illinois forever? I thought he was a senior and this was his last year until my bro told me that he's a junior and will be around next year with Curbelo and Adam Miller

He was a Groce recruit who stayed loyal to his NLI and Illinois when Underwood was hired. Trent was the only thing worth watching in Underwood’s first year.

Well, as long as Illinois can get ONE schollie available, G'Town having more will mean nothing. Actually, Illinois can point to the guys they have using those schollies. (And, as much as I hate to think about it, Adam Miller isn't using one until he signs.)

I am the opposite. I sometimes think he's a sophomore rather than a junior. Wish he was here two more years.

Translation = basically until a more established, dirty program like Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, Arizona come along and poach him. Im actually expecting that unless this season takes off even more than it has.

They'll probably move up 3 spots.
Memphis, Butler & Texas Tech will all drop.
As long as they don't lose 2 in a row in any given week, good chance that they'll stay in the top 25 until Selection Sunday

Ohio State at 13 and Purdue at 20 on Kenpom make no sense. Illinois is 22. He needs to look at his formula and tweak it.

I believe the OOC wins a weighted a bit more. It's OOC wins rank #322 right now.

They take margin of victory into account and the UNC win was weighted too much. They aren't a very good team. What's the difference between winning by 18 or 35 pts?

Underwood wasn't getting it done until recently. Coaches get criticized when they lose and praised when they win. That's how this works.
Maybe it took a while for the team to become a team and play the system the coach wants. You know, beginning of the season and such.

You'll be the first guy blasting Underwood the next game they lose.

Maybe it did. But Underwood admits he made changes this year when he realized it wasn't working.

That should be something he is praised for, much different from both his predecessors.

Yea, I did read that, I also remember reading you saying he could'nt coach HS basketball. More knee jerk reaction from knee jerk Johnson.
