The firing of Ron Adams was the oddest thing. I get that you may have wanted 'to send a message' to Thibs, but you pissed off guys like Rose and Noah in the process. Not a smart thing all around.

Part of me thinks that Pax just likes to fight with coaches in some way or form.

You think?.

Ah, and whomever created this poll...was not I. It should have included something to the effect of:

No, Pax won't allow him to coach effectively.

There is no way that Reinsdorf gets rid of Paxson

Correct.

Of course we all know Jerry really doesn't run the operation right? His son is in charge. Jerry still has final say, but he's much less involved.

I think Michael is just there to learn the ropes, like an 'owner-in-training.' If I had to guess, he's more worried about Michael fucking up the White Sox than the Bulls, so take your lumps with the Bulls so you don't screw up what I really like.

Now that KC is chiming in, part of me thinks there was some real truth in what Van Gundy was saying during an ESPN game last week. Perhaps the FO does have the media in their pocket & this is the start of the "Smear Thibs" campaign.

Personally, I think this is horsecrap. While he has his flaws (like any coach), Thibs has done more with less than any coach in the league the past 3 years. He's endured more injuries in his tenure as a head coach than some do in their entire careers. If the team doesn't make it the Finals, HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE FIRED. Period. End of story.

Seeing how John Paxson is in Reinsdorf's pocket and that Paxson/Reinsdorf have 180 view points, I don't see this partnership being successful much longer.

They have a 180 view point from Thibs? Is that what you're saying?

well he should

im ready for a different regime when it comes to team building
You'd have a better chance being accepted today on another team's bandwagon. Paxson will stay until he's tired. See; Williams, Kenny.

Paxson already got tired.. Hence Gar Forman. Gar won't be tired for awhile.

:yep: Hope you enjoyed that second three peat as much as you could. Bulls will be like all the other Chicago teams have and have a massive championship drought for decades.

I don't think it will be that bad.
Well...
The Bulls are on 17 years
The Bears are on 30 years
The Hawks went 1961-2010 without a Stanley Cup
The White Sox went 1917-2005
The Cubs haven't won since 1908

Agreed but it will be a cold day in hell when JR fires Pax.

But honestly, if Pax actually confronted Van Gundy in a bathroom at American Airlines arena after the comments he made, then I'm sorry, this hot-head needs to go NOW. It was incredible that he was even kept around after basically choking out Del Negro a few years back.

I'm surprised Pax is that much of a hothead. He doesn't really seem like that kind of guy. Then again...neither does Steve Kerr and he basically got into the fisticuffs with MJ.
