I think Michael is just there to learn the ropes, like an 'owner-in-training.' If I had to guess, he's more worried about Michael fucking up the White Sox than the Bulls, so take your lumps with the Bulls so you don't screw up what I really like.

Now that KC is chiming in, part of me thinks there was some real truth in what Van Gundy was saying during an ESPN game last week. Perhaps the FO does have the media in their pocket & this is the start of the "Smear Thibs" campaign.
Personally, I think this is horsecrap. While he has his flaws (like any coach), Thibs has done more with less than any coach in the league the past 3 years. He's endured more injuries in his tenure as a head coach than some do in their entire careers. If the team doesn't make it the Finals, HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE FIRED. Period. End of story.

Agreed but it will be a cold day in hell when JR fires Pax.
But honestly, if Pax actually confronted Van Gundy in a bathroom at American Airlines arena after the comments he made, then I'm sorry, this hot-head needs to go NOW. It was incredible that he was even kept around after basically choking out Del Negro a few years back.
