Sure a lot can happen to Patrick Mahomes in the next five or six years, but outside of a substantial injury, Mahomes shoud only neeed 14-15 total seasons to bury every one of Brady's records.

If the Chiefs become the first team to threepeat the Super Bowl I think you can already argue that Mahomes/Reid >>> Brady/Belichick

This is not true. Mahomes absolutely will need to play into his 40s to throw for nearly as many TDs/passing yards as Brady.

He'll need to make the SB 5 more times in the next 7-8 years to even tie Brady's number of appearances (let alone "bury" it) in 14-15 total seasons, and he'll need to win 3 more. Unlikely considering a lot of his guys are going to age out soon.

If he wins this one and retires, is he the GOAT over Brady? No, and it's not even close.

but Mahomes 17 game avg has more passing yards(about 400 yards more per 17 games) and TD's(4 more per 17 games) than Tom Brady's 17 game avg...so mahomes does not need to play as many seasons as Brady did to eclipse Bradys career numbers...hes ahead of Bradys pace
