Just proves he needs to adjust if he ever wants to throw a no hitter. 50 pitches to get 9 k's (outs).

Just the same as Heyward finally having a day and has now lived up to his contract for a total of about a week.

Darvish Heyward will cost some of Bryant, Baez, Rizzo, Schwarber, Contrares.

But then again, this off season the chorus will be asking for every 300 million free agent out there.

If they want to be Cubs then they will make it work.

If they want a payday then they will move on.

It is simple as that.

Funny part is Yu has a 1.88 ERA and it is supported by a 2.12 FIP. Basically he is dealing at a top level right now. Hendricks is at a 3.08 ERA and a 2.28 FIP. That is why I feel that they are legit right now. They are not codependent on the D to get outs.

Lester:. 1.06 ERA 3.85 FIP. He is very dependant on the D behind him and puts the ball in play more. That becomes a bit more sketchy vs other elite teams.

Hope Chatwood can get right back in the rotation with the multiple double headers with the Branch Covidians coming up.

Dude I know. Basically we signed a injured guy and it takes time to recover and adjust. I take it a bigoted opinion 100% of the time. Add to it it is borderline racist.

The end of the story on this: Theo got the right guy. We could be talking up a shit resign on Jake but he will never get shit on for it by the faithful.

Even though sense 2015 (1.77 ERA) 2016 (3.10) 2017 (3.53) 2018 (3.96) 2019 ((4.64) 2020 (4.02)

Nope because 2015 is the program and all other data is irrelevant. Just like the fact Yu was injured year 1 and all else is irrelevant.

As things currently stand, veteran lefty Jon Lester is penciled in for Sunday's series finale against the Brewers, and then Chicago faces five games in three days against the Cardinals. As part of making up for the Aug. 7-9 postponements in St. Louis, the Cubs and Cardinals will play a doubleheader on Monday and Wednesday.

Cubs manager David Ross has not yet announced the team's plans for the series against St. Louis, given that Chicago still has to get through the current set with Milwaukee. Right-hander Colin Rea is in the Cubs' bullpen at the moment, but he could potentially be used as a starter. At the team's alternate training site in South Bend, Ind., some options include Adbert Alzolay, Justin Steele and Tyson Miller.

From Cubs site. I honestly wouldn't mess with the pen right now. Bringing up Miller and Alzolay makes the most sense unless Q is ready to start again.

Have they ever announced which Cardinals tested positive? I know they weren't all players....some were coaches but I've yet to see which players are down for them.

These second line pitchers have done well for the Cubs but they aren't Bob Gibson out there.....we had to know that they would get roughed up at some point. Time to get a few runs....

Chase night for the Cubs.....been pretty good about that all season but tonight anything at eye level is fair game. A bit more patience might help them out a bit.

First head scratcher was Souza...who is this years Descalso..then Phegley with bases loaded who has the same batting average I do at .000. Now..Kimbrel? This seems like a game Ross wants to lose for some reason.
