Very disappointing series. It many ways it was reminiscent of how the team played the last 2 seasons. Huge series coming up. The offense has to find a way to cut down on the strikeouts.

Lester had a bunch of luck going on until now. The law of averages had to happen. .120 BABIP is not realistic and that was the luck that he was riding.

Mills is a fighter but he is a 5 at best.

Those 3 losses are not shocking at all. Looking at the underlying numbers it was bound to happen.

All I can say is I hope Chatwood comes back strong. Even after getting pounded the still sports a 2.60 FIP. Royals got to him. That is all it means. He is still a quality starter.


Well seeing how things have gone it should end up interesting on these DH's in the next series. 5 games in 3 days. I don't expect Lester in them. But we could see Hendricks/Alozay on Monday. Darvish Tuesday and Mills/Chatwood Wednesday.

Q returning could change that order as I could see Chatwood pushed back to open the Sox series also to split up the lefties.

Not really....the only game they won was aginst the only starter that is of ML quality. The other three are horrible. It should have gone the other way, lose game one and sweep the other three. They should have put up a ton of runs against the likes of those three.

Disagree. Cub pitchers gave up 16 runs the last 3 games. That's just not good enough.
