Ok on that thought:

Amaya has gained steam this year and is on the cusp of the top 100. He is a solid 2nd guy.

So if you wanted 1 off the roster that really doesn’t kill you it is Happ. Then you have to make 3 adds strong to make up for the lacking of a major league player. Amaya is a strong 2nd guy and a natural catcher. 3rd would have to be Lange. I would love to say Albertos or DeLaCruz but both are suspect talent. Lange has proven his draft pick. Keegan Thompson would be my fourth. And honestly if I’m getting DeGromm I’m fine with losing my best 2 arms.

I see it as these guys have legit flaws but you accept them because of what they bring. Not every one can turn out like Bryant.

There is a lot to like about Schwarbie. The guy tries really hard. He has game changing power. He has made good adjustments this year by going with the pitch to LF.

On the negative side he is dangerous in the playoffs on defense. I could see the Cubs losing an important game with him bumbling around left field. He made a valiant effort to lose some weight in the offseason, but has gained half of it back. I predict by his 30s he will look and move like John Kruk. He will eventually be a DH in the AL
