Cashner's pitch count is climbing.

Ross doesn't look like he can do damage with the bat, but that was a good at bat, fouling off all those pitches.

C'mon Lester! Time for a hit.

Man, Cashner's got some serious Sid Vicious hair.

Beard, hair, and hat combo remind me of Ice Cube from Boyz n the Hood. Pretty ballsy of a blonde white dude to rock that look. Guys got swagger I'll give him that.

Don't worry, we'll have the pitcher hit cleanup during our series against the Pirates.

Awesome throw by Coghlan! Way to pick Lester on that one.

Lester loses today. No one to blame but himself. His defense has backed him all day.

Saw some talk about Ross being an automatic out before the season but I've been kind of impressed. Dude battles hard and extends the AB by fighting off borderline pitches and not chasing a lot of shit. Seems to be a strength of the offense overall. Love how many pitches our guys are seeing. Might have heard wrong but I thought I heard we lead the league in pitches per AB.

Cubs need to score some runs so I feel comfortable running to grab some food. I'm starving.

Well, it isn't lights out, but Lester looks much better to me.

2 runs, 5 hits, and now 1 walk in 5 IO is hardly terrific. But I think he looks more comfortable and I don;t get the sense he needs to "settle down".

No, he looks pretty good. Seems more and more obvious missing starts in ST has had a lot to do with the slow start.
