I did not infer elimination of IL play. I essentially stated spreading it out over the entire season doesn't generate as much buzz as IL play should. Your math and scheduling skills aren't very good, if you think IL play has to be continual just because Houston moved to the AL.

go ahead. show me where i'm wrong. Go ahead and do it. schedule a single week without IL play.

Check Mate!
Not at all. You should note that the number of IL games has increased over time and essentially coinciding with the Astros switch went up to 20 games. Dumb.

I have no real beef with IL play, I could take it or leave it to be honest. I would rather the season not start with it but thems the breaks I suppose. Right now all I give a damn about is that THERE IS AN ACTUAL CUBS BASEBALL GAME TONIGHT! This actually completely redeems a Monday.

Did you ask yourself why the increase? It's because of the odd number of teams in each league. Check Mate again!

Can we get this back on topic? I say Trout goes 2 for 4 with a 2b and a hr and the Cubs win 6-1 tonight.

No. It isnt. It's to play 6 games against your rival and a series with each team from an opposing league division.

The Rival series is now two on two (Cubs Sox). Are you right on any of this?

So, IOW, when they decided on playing an entire division in series, that's at least 15 games. Bugger off.

I just like that the team gets to open in some warm weather...Keep them out of Chicago as much as you can in April!

this! I felt the scheduling folks did the Cubs a solid by letting them open up in LA and Arizona. let our bats get going early on with some warm weather instead of watching Soler bundled up like the Michelin Man in Chicago lol

Arrieta with the 1st Opening Day no-no? Has that happened before? It will by nights end.
