That's your #8 batter ladies and gents

Yep, this lineup is gonna be tough on other teams.

Give Richards credit for getting out of that inning at only 3-0. Like to see Jake work a quick one and put Richards right back out there for the middle of the order. Can you say long ball?

I'm happy fowler appears to be starting the season well. He was sort of the guy who got the cubs going in the 2nd half last year. If he doesn't have a horrid first half like last year he could really help the offense.

Did anyone notice the movement on the ball that struck out Trout? Sick! Jake's just warming up folks. Boom, and there's a pop up to get out of the inning. Time to knock Richards out of the game!!!

I'm kind of enjoying this broadcast on espn. They are talking about interesting concepts for a change rather than tired old ideas.

Edit: as I say that they start talking about fucking palindromes .... sigh.

I didn't realize it was on ESPN. I have MLB and I am watching the LAA broadcast. So foreign to me, living here in St. louis, to hear a broadcast team spend the night discussing the game rather than whining about every single call on balls and strikes. they also know how to credit players on the opposing team. Wow.

The story they told about Heyward buying Ross a suite upgrade for every road game for the season was kind of cool. I hadn't heard that one but makes me wonder if Ross played a large roll in signing Heyward cuz that's a pretty amazing thing to do as a nice gesture for a player who's retiring after this season.

Blacked out on ESPN? Or MLB?

In either case, it makes no sense.

I'm in Chicago and it's blacked out on ESPN2, but I'm watching on local ABC channel 7, and they keep saying I'm watching on ESPN.... go figure.
