Kind of game where Bryant looks bad first 2 times up and then drills one deep

Whose dick does Matt Carpenter suck to get special treatment from umps and scorekeepers?

That game was one of the most frustrating I've watched in a while. 5 run lead in the first and Wood gives up 4. Cubs score some more and the bullpen blows it.

Monday's game was a perfect example of the difference between the two teams. The Cubs throw at bats away. Granted they scored nine, so the offense wasn't the problem. But they don't value each at bat. Castro is hitting well, but with men on 2nd and 4rd late (still leading, I believe) he just doesn't have the approach that his ay bat is important, even though there were two out.

His weight is on his heels - or his butt - and he swings at outside pitches with no chance of doing anything with them even if he can get the bat on them.

The Cards, on the other hand, made sure to make contact, and dropped a couple bloops in and got a dribbler from Jay all in their big inning. They didn't hit a ball hard that whole frame. But they don't have to.

As hitters its gotta be frustrating to put up crooked numbers and then see your pitcher give it back

The Cubs have just decided they're going to lose no matter what. It doesn't matter if it has to be 3-1 or 10-9, the effort to lose will be there.

The cards are literally the best team in baseball right now. They just aren't going to give up. Carpenter took a decent pitch out. It happens. It's like I said previous some where, the difference between these two teams isn't much. Maybe you argue the cards have an edge but it's not drastic. I get how it's frustrating for fans to lose to a rival but they are doing the right things. Eventually that will pay out for them. This is two straight nights they've gotten the best team in baseball to pull their starter before the end of the 5th.

Russell needs to move to LF. He has too much pop in his bat for MIF.

Here the approach im taking. .

Yes it would be awesome to win all the games and yes it frustrating to lose close games. ..

But..for right now, im enjoying watching these kids hit and seeing how they adjust. .. cant really complain much about their offense

I was skeptical with their rotation going into the season after Lester and Arrieta and until they add that 3rd TOR type starter and show their going for it this season, i don't expect easy wins or get to down on losses when wood, Hammel, and hendricks on the mound..

Hitting is not what I'm worried about.

Cubs got enough young hitters so statistically speaking they'll hit on a coule.

Its complete lack of SP that is killing this team. NO TOR potential whatsoever. Hendricks is a location pitcher that has been figured out, much like Randy Wells, his predecessor.

This team needs ace potential soon and they dont have any. It will be what kills the chances of the postseason.

I'm a skeptic, and I'm almost to the point where I can buy the young hitters. Its the shitty pitching that kills me.

Hendricks has to be replaced. I know some of you guys like him, but we knew last year was a fluke. He probably isn't as bad as he's been this year. But the real Hendricks is a lot closer to the 2015 version, than the 2014 version. Ramirez and Grimm are going to be ready soon, so reinforcements in the pen are coming. Hopefully we drop German and Coke.

Cubs have had a brutal schedule to start the season. It's weird seeing the pitching let us down, the past 3 years it's been the offense

Carpenter's been dipping into Peralta's PED's.
